Revdex.com,
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Their reply to my Complaint sounds nice, but it is completely wrong & inaccurate on most accords. Let me address each item in their response and bring it to a truthful account of what happened. They gave me NO pictures or diagrams at all - none - their guy only told me quickly verbally how to put it together and I took notes. I just do not understand why they would say such un untruth. Then they say they don't know what happened to the "kit" they gave me, well, I covered that in my Complaint, as well as in my attorney's letter to them. They put all the parts in the carport under the panels. I was physically unable to assemble them before winter due to sudden injuries and long PT recovery. Those parts and panels remained unmoved and untouched until Spring when I hired someone to assemble them - he (and another professional) both stated that the parts are incomplete and unusable. We live in a very safe neighborhood & the panels and parts were not moved or touched during the winter, plus they were frozen to the ground anyway. As for the rails they mention, there are not enough rails to go from one end to the other along the ground, nor are their enough rails to make 2 perpendicular supports needed to fasten the panels (which are the wrong color, too, just like one of the sides). They neglected to mention the wrong color problem in their response... Also, they did not tell me I had to drill holes in those steel rails. The other rails that they installed on the carport I watched them install had pre-drilled holes. Hmm, why don't these. Also missing is a 2nd bottom support for the 2nd wall support. Then they say I call and text 2-3 times a day. Not. They were hard to get a good response in the beginning. Then when they stopped responding, I texted them clear pictures of all the parts they gave me. I had to call them because they didn't respond, then when they did, they told me they could not open the pictures. I then saved the pictures as pdf files and re-texted. Same thing, no response and I called. They said again they couldn't open the pictures (I sent them in popular formats & through my company's e-mail that I send pictures and artwork on all the time, no one else has trouble opening the files). So, I tried emailing them the pictures in both formats. They did not respond after a week, so I had to call them. They told me they didn't get my e-mail. I re-sent it and never got a response again so I gave up. Additionally, they never mentioned I needed a Permit or drawings to put up the rear wall on the carport. I called the County and they are not requiring me to get one - only when I frame in the front and put a garage door, which has nothing to do with Gotcha Covered. Further, they did NOT offer to put the rear wall on for $500, they wanted $625 +tax (I have their text). Pretty high price for about an hour of work (I saw how fast they constructed the whole carport). I offered them $200 and they never responded. Now they want $450 for easy drawings that are not needed & $500 to put it together. What a rip off!! I bet they would claim missing parts and charge me for those, too. They have ALSO never received a  response to my attorney's letter that was sent over a week ago, sent by regular mail and copies emailed to both their email addresses. Let me guess, they didn't get it either...What poor business tactics and awful customer service. Sell me junk spare parts and then ignore me, hoping I'll go away. Then they say they don't get my text & email communication, or they can't open them.  It looks like they do not want to honestly handle this, so we will be forced to proceed to the next steps for justice on this matter, as well are recoup any losses. In the meantime, I will have to buy the right parts so I can get the garage completed. More than likely, I will have to give a buyer to my property an allowance on the price because of this. Totally is wrong! They act like Christians by saying "Blessings" at the end of their Complaint reply - if they were Christians, they would have come out immediately and looked over the parts and done the right thing. -- [redacted] and [redacted]

We are sorry the customer is not ok with our response. We have really tried to help him and have gave him many ways to resolve this. He wants something for nothing and we already gave him his materials once below our cost and we cannot replace parts he left sitting out for a year.We have given the customer all that we can. We have tried to satisfy them.Sincerely, [redacted]

Greetings,This is in response to the complaint filed by Mr. [redacted].We put his Carport up over a year ago and it turned out perfect.Mr. [redacted] wanted to put more panels up and did not want to pay the labor so we said we would sell him the pieces at cost and he is to install them. We gave him pictures...

and diagrams on how they went together, now a year later he has all these issues. We are sorry but we have no idea what happened to the kit we sold him, it was all there when we delivered it. We have and still do only buy from one US company. The base rail along the back is smaller than the sides its 2"x2" its what we use on all our buildings. The holes for that base rail have to be drilled on site as we don't know ahead of time where it can be anchored safely. Mr. [redacted] wanted to do the enclosure himself to avoid paying for drawings and a permit which is required when enclosed and for selling the property. Mr [redacted] texts and  calls  2 to 3 times a day. Mr. [redacted] has the wrong email address' he has been putting one t when its 2. He has been harassing us for something that we fulfilled and  what the customer paid for. We offered to come out and install it for our fee of $500, but he would have to purchase the drawings and permit also if we do it. The customer declined that offer. We sent him pictures and drawings several times. We have done what we were contracted to do. We are sorry Mr. [redacted] is unhappy, but the county rules apply here. If the customer wants to pay the permit fees $380, drawings $450 and install price $500, we will be glad to finish the building for him.Blessings,[redacted]

[redacted] was very knowledgeable about the process and helpful in the decisions to be made. She was very easy to work with and friendly. I immediately trusted her.

[redacted] and his crew were prompt, courteous and effective. They were more than willing to “Roll with the Situation” as they seemed to have a lot of experience. They had great suggestions for the challenges I faced in preparing for them.

I am so impressed, with the quality and dependability of the office and guys that install. My structure is beautiful and will last a lifetime.

I found Gottcha Covered through local advertising and a referral. I found the entire experience working with them, from the sales process, through construction to be honest, fair and extremely responsive. I would highly recommend their services.

I was very happy with the my new carport and the service was great. It's a very nice carport.

Just wanted to thank you for the great job you did installing our new 12' X 32' steel carport. [redacted] and his crew were great to work with. They were very professional, knowledgeable and very pleasant and personable. They were on time and worked very hard, even in some adverse weather conditions. They only took short breaks and one day did not even stop to take a lunch break. At the end of the job they cleaned up the site really good. We would strongley reccomend Gottcha Covered to anyone looking for a good price and quality workmanship on a new building. Again, thank you [redacted] and of course [redacted]....the office manager.

Sincerely

Review: We entered into a contract with Gottcha Covered to have a 18 X 32 X12.5 Carport/RV Cover built on our property here in [redacted]. They called us and set a date of May 23rd for installation and said they would be here at 7 or 7:30 AM to start. At about 7:30 AM the day they were supposed to be here to start, they called and said they would have to reschedule because they did not have all the materials yet to build the shed. They rescheduled for May 31st and said again they would be here to start about 7 or 7:30 AM. On May 31st, they weren't here yet at 8:30 AM so I called them to see if they were coming. A gentleman answering the phone at the business said they would not be here until 9:30 because they still had to pick up material before they drove up here. They showed up at 11:15 AM and a three man crew was here and worked until 5:15 PM building the shed. After the crew left we were looking at the structure and discovered the roof had been put on crooked. It is 6 inches lower on the front left corner compared to the back left corner which makes it 6 inches higher on the front right corner compared to the back right corner. Also the structure is not lined up with the structure it is next to (another older carport/RV cover). The back of the new structure is 9 inches closer at the rear than in the front. My husband already had noticed the building being our of line with the previous structure before the crew left and the crew foreman said there was nothing he could do about that. My husband said he didn't like it but we'd live with it. But we called the company after discovering the roof being crooked and asked them to come look at it and correct it. They set a date to come look at it and my husband took a day off from haying to be home when they got here and they didn't show up. About ten o'clock we called the company and were told they weren't coming that day because they had been delayed on the coast. They did not bother to call to let us know they weren't coming and would have to reschedule. The lady who answers the business phone stated we would have to call and reschedule with them after haying season was over. Then about two to three weeks later, the owner of the company showed up unannounced to look at the building. Luckily my husband was home. The gentleman from Gotcha Covered said it didn't matter, all roofs are crooked because the buildings slope from front to back. My husband is a retired ironworker. He has been in structural building all his life and he knows that is not true. It is not the slope of the building that is affected, it is the roofing panels themselves that are on crooked. The Gotcha Covered man wanted to know why we didn't say something to the crew. We did not notice the roof was on crooked until after the crew left. The gentleman from Gotcha Covered infered to my husband that he should have been out there supervising his crew so they would not make these mistakes. We hired a company that claimed to be experts at their trade. There is no way we should have to babysit a crew sent by this company. The Gotcha Covered man wanted to blame my husband for the crew's mistakes and said he was not going to do anything about correcting the crookedness of the roof. My husband told him if he wasn't going to fix the poor workmanship we would try to see that he didn't build anymore structures in Stevens county if that was the quality of work he wanted to get away with. He then told him that if he wasn't going to do anything to correct the problem he could just get off of our property. The gentleman from Gotcha Covered then verbally threatened my husband by saying he better watch what he said about the company or it's poor workmanship or we would regret it .Desired Settlement: Replacement of the whole roof with new materials so there are no old screw holes to be patched, or if the company prefers they may come remove the whole structure at their expense after complete refunding of our total purchase price of $4,087.72.

Case # [redacted]

My father had a covered carport built, the employees did not show up when they said they would, and when my father tried to call to when they would show up the lady who is in charge of taking the calls told my father they should already be there. She did not apologize for the inconvenience and she had no apology of any kind. The employees finally showed up built the carport but left bolts laying around. He hasn't even had the carport for four months and it is already leaking!! Are you kidding me!!! He did not pay good money that he has saved for this carport to get screwed over!!!. He called the place the lady answered and mind you he has a lifetime warranty on this carport to inform them that it was leaking, she told him that when they were in the area they would stop in and look at it. A month went by and nothing no call no show. So my dad being crippled was just going to fix it himself. I was furious at this point, I called and she tried to tell me the same thing and than tried to just end the call, I informed her that he had a warranty and she finally scheduled a crew to come out after I got angry with her.But it was a month out that he is to get it repaired. So he than noticed that they didn't even finish putting the trim on that was included in the package he ordered. Once again I called the place the lady tried to tell me that not having the trim on the top of the carport wouldn't make it leak, I asked "than what would"?! She told me when I had called about the trim she would pull up my file and call me back I gave her my number she called my dad and left him a voicemail stating "that if he wanted trim it would be extra". He already paid for it!! What art of that don't you get!? She still has yet to answer either one of the numbers given let alone call us back. I would not recommend this place unless you want to play ring around the rosie if you have a problem. Their sloppy and unprofessional!

Great company. Nice guys that installed. Did a competent job. I would buy again from them.

Review: I purchased a carport and paid an extra $500 for additional materials from Gotcha Covered to complete the sides and back of the carport. They came out the end of last summer and installed the carport and delivered what was supposed to be the material for me to build the sides and back of the carport. I became injured and we did not attempt to construct the sides and rear until this Spring. All their materials were left covered, secured, and untouched from the time Gotcha Covered delivered them, to the time we attempted to put the sides and rear on the carport. We found that we only had the correct parts for only one side. The other side was the wrong color and length. We also found that the carport rear was lacking many parts needed to make the rear wall. The base tubes provided that go along the ground are different from the ones provided with the carport and do not have pre-drilled holes for the rebar they gave us. We have no base tubes. Also, the perpendicular wall tubes are too short and not enough tubes are there. Additionally, the diagram I wrote down when they told me how to construct the rear shows two wall supports, while I received only one. It appears, from looking at the parts I received, they came from different locations/cities and are just a bunch of spare parts. I have had 2 professionals look at the parts and carport, both agree there is no way to construct the rear of the carport with those material parts. I called, texted, them emailed regarding this matter and every time they always tell me they didn't get the pictures I sent them, or they didn't get my email. Now they do not reply or respond. Our intent is the make the carport into a garage. The property is for sale just now and they are affecting my value. My attorney sent them a letter by US mail and 2 e-mail addresses - and as usual no response. I will have to seek legal recourse.Desired Settlement: We need the CORRECT material in the correct size & color on one side, as well as the correct parts to build the rear wall of the carport. We also need compensation for holding up our property for sale and affecting our appraisal value.

Good Morning [redacted] and [redacted],

Just a quick note, to tell you "We love the Carport"....and enjoyed watching [redacted] and his crew put it together. And, your son is a nice young man...as were all the crew. They are very very proficient and hard working !!!!! I had intentions of getting a "group picture" of the crew, but let them get out of here before I got it done. My bad !!!

Enjoyed doing business with you, and definitely have a company that we can recommend to others. Keep up the GOOD WORK !!!!!!
