Hotel has unsightly very grass outside. carpet all over stink like pee. Hotel agreed to provide linen for a wedding and they were not enough and dirtyAugust 23rd wedding - no promised linen and they were dirty. Did not refund $300 deposit for cleaning after we started cleaning and we were told to stopDesired Settlementbad business

On 10/16/2014 I [redacted] was bitten by bed bugs at the Governor's Inn located on Mt. Moriah @ 5 a.m.On 10/15/2014 I got a room at the Governor's Inn. I woke up at around 5 because my thumb was itching went to the the bathroom and I noticed a bug crawling on my shirt. I knocked it off into the toilet. I was gonna call and let front desk know but the phone wasn't working so I took a picture of the bug and my neck. So I put the bug that I captured into a cup and took it to the front desk with me. I informed the clerk of the incident and I informed him that I would like to speak with the owner. The clerk apologized and informed me that it was his first day. The clerk refund my money and changed my room. As I was going to gather my belongings the maintenance man can behind me with a flashlight into the room looking for bed bugs asking me where are they. I explained to him I have no clue. I went to the ER later that day because my neck started itching and getting bruised. I went to the Governor's Inn and spoke with one of the co-owners([redacted]) in private and she basically laughed in my face saying "I went to the doctor for a little bug bite". He reported he got beg bug bite. From that room's rent history we never had any report of bed bug in that room. We don't know if the previous customer brought it here or this [redacted] brought with him. Anyway, Our front desk people did our best to make him happy to refund his money and comp him and his girl friend for a another room free of charge. They stayed in that room till 13:30 in the afternoon on 10/16/2016.notice our check out time is 11:00am. But in that evening this [redacted] returned again claimed that he went to ER for this and asked to remedy his doctor's prescription that was really made me laugh. Sorry for that. I wouldn't pay any penny for this blackmail. Then he threatened he would try every means to let us know how much power he has. Then we had the Shelby county health department came in to check the room for this case and had report that didn't find the bed bug (I can email you the report if necessary) and then his attorney's letter (not got time to reply yet) asked for our liability insurance and your great concern the second notice ask us to reply for this. This hotel is filthy and uninhabitable. Rooms in very poor condition.I checked in this hotel on August 15,2014. I booked two nights thru priceline.com, but the condition of the hotel forced me to leave early. Upon check in I paid cash. I was then given the key to a room. The first room that I was given on the first floor had a mildew odor very foul and unclean environment. After complaining about the room I was given another room the second room 314 didn't have the safety lock on the door, nothing but holes there, the bath tub was full of green mildew under the tub mat, it also had a foul odor. I was then given room 345,in this room the air conditioner didn't work properly, and it was roach infested, it had an odor as well. I asked to be refunded and was told by Mrs.[redacted] the hotel G.M. to stay the night and I would be refunded the next morning. The hotel seemed to have a lot of illegal activities occurring there all night long. I was afraid and barely slept any. People where hanging out around the hotel all night, cursing, slamming doors, and walking the halls. this was my worst experience with any hotel. I checked out the next morning prior to check out time and was refused a full refund. I took pictures of the conditions of these rooms.Desired SettlementI would like to be refunded completely. I also feel that there should be some form of compensation paid for the mental trauma that we encountered during this stay. I don't think this business should be allowed to operate. this is a health hazard and shady business.

Disgusting rooms, non working a/c and management refused to change room or give refund, mold in room, faulty electric outlets.I checked into a room at this crappy hotel on short notice. When you walk through Desired SettlementThis is by far the worst hotel I have every stayed in. When you come through the lobby it looks nice, clean and well kept except for the the undeniable heat, but I assumed that was due to lobby doors being opened. The actual room was horrible! The room was extremely hot even after I turned the a/c on and let it run for over 3 hours. The microwave knocked the power off in the rm 30 seconds after being turned on, the mini fridge had dead baby roaches inside it as well as the freezer portion, and to top it off the rm had roaches. I called the front desk to complain about the hot rm and roaches and the maintenance man who is also the manager came to spray the room and didn't bother checking anything else that was complained about. In fact he had the nerve to tell the front desk clerk that the air was working fine even though the temp in the rm was 97 degrees and after he sprayed whatever he srayed, I saw more roaches, big pregnant roaches! They were not only crawling down the wall but on the damn ceiling. I had my children in that rm, one of which is 5 months old and the idea of a bug falling off the ceiling onto me or my sleeping children made my skin crawl along with causing me to be outright furious. I asked to be moved to another room after explaining the horrible conditions and was told no, so I asked for my money back and was also told no, no refunds. Are you freaking kidding me? The customer is always right obviously does not apply to the creeps that run this hotel. I ended up calling the police, but all they could do was tell me this was a civil matter and that there was really nothing they could do. I have never felt so pissed off in my life. This is an absolute dump and should be shut down indefinitely so that no one will ever have to go through this like I did. Even the housekeepers explained to management how hot my room was and how infested some of the rooms were but even that didn't do any good. I hope code enforcement or someone has this place torn down and management thrown under the jail.
