This specific customer *** had an error in her application, we sent several emails (one every day starting on the 30th of March) to ask her to correct her application as we were not able to process her request, which she paid for on March 30th, 2014. When customers do not respond to our emails to make changes to their application, we cancel their application and refund their money within business days starting from the day the application was completed (March 30th, 2014)We have assisted many other customers and often than not they make a mistake on their application, hence our service to guide them through their mistakes and we also edit their application for them once provided with the information prior to submitting to the IRS. I utilized this website to obtain my TAX ID (EIN) number last year on Feb 19, 2015. I went and had my taxes done and my preparer was surprised I paid anything and proceeded to inform me that the IRS offers this service for free! Well I said whats done is done. But then just today I went to open a bank account for the business and was told I could not do it because I never got the Confirmation Letter of the EIN from Govfilings! I attempted to email, call and visit their website but all seem to be disconnected! I have doubts whether my EIN is legitimate or not and my taxes have been sent in this year! If I get audited they should pay for it! And they should definitely refund my $149!!!

GovFilings LLC refunded my money; however, I still have complaints as to the veracity of their response.
1) I received the same automated email regardless of the actions on my end--their emails were not in response to the specific problems I experienced. After the first instance of me receiving a canned response despite my following their instructions, I became concerned that their practices were dubious. I then realized they're charging a fee for an otherwise free service so I went directly to IRS.gov (thus no further action from me within their system).
2) I called and left at least 1 voicemail for which I continued to receive the same canned email replies (never a return phone call). In fact, I was unable to get someone on the phone altogether. I called 4 times and each time it went straight to voice mail.
3) I had no such error in my application. Here's how I know: I submitted the exact same information directly via the IRS.gov site (for free) and was granted an EIN almost instantaneously. Nevertheless, they continued to send me the same canned email responses, which I suspected was a hoax to get my personal identification information.
4) I was not granted any assurances that credit card numbers and social security numbers are encrypted and/or removed from their system (i.e., there was no such communication). How would my social security number be encrypted when my information was populated within a PDF document?
It is this last point--no assurances that they have not held on to/utilized my social security number (I cancelled my credit card)--that is the crux of my complaint.
