How did I get rerouted to this site from a .gov ss sighiy? This is a crooked operation at the least. Don't do business with these. $97 to expedite service and they didn't read the application thoroughly and sent fedex to the wrong address. Four phone calls later to Fedex and govsimplified I finally gave up and told Fedex to return the package to govsimplified as they refused to have the package rerouted. I might get a $40 refund but no satisfaction in that since I have to start over with social security. Time was of the essense for me but not for govsimplified.

I took the pre-assesment survey to replace my social security card and answered that I would not be able to mail my original documents since I do not have them with me in my immediate possession. The system still allowed me to purchase the package for 37$ but then upon opening the package I read that you still needed to send the original documents to the social security office (exactly like how you would have to anyway when getting a replacement through the social security office but for free) which I still was unable to do. They tried to claim they can only give me a partial refund since it has been over an hour but my order was placed on a Sunday and their offices were closed. I got my full refund but I had to argue for it. Don't waste your time with Gov Simplified just go through your social security office.

I was applying for an EIN for a business I am starting. Somehow there website popped up as legitimate IRS government site... well, they are not. I could have obtained my EIN for free. Instead, I was charge $147.00. Along with giving these people my money, they now have my social security number. I feel so violated. Any company who profits by tricking people into thinking they are legit.... should be ashamed.

This company offers replacement Social Security cards. They give the impression it's free. They trick you into signing up. Then they ask for a credit-card number without telling you the cost. It turns out to be $37.00. OK. So I've paid the $37.00 and will wait to receive my card. No. Wait. There's more. I have to mail in my driver's license or some other document. There's a bunch of other stuff I have to do to complete my order. I decide to cancel. A recording answers the phone. It keeps telling me help will be available in just a moment. But it's not. Then they ask me to take a survey. I agree. I take the survey. Then I get disconnected. So I send them an email, saying please cancel the order and cancel the credit-card change. I receive a response by email, saying they will refund only $20.00 because it was more than 30 minutes between the time I placed the order and the time I canceled.

Why didn't I stop when they asked for a credit-card number? I wasn't thinking clearly. Later I found out I can get a replacement Social Security card for free at the Social Security Administration office in downtown El Paso. All I have to do is show them my driver's license and tell them my Social Security number.

Live and learn.

I employed GovSimplified, LLC to assist me in acquiring a replacement Social Security card in September of 2016. The process was to be about a 2 week endeavor. I had no government issued, picture I.D. that I could part with for that long of a time. I informed GovSimplified that my only available credentials consisted of a Birth Certificate and a Medicare Card. GovSimplified prepared a "package" and a professionally prepared instruction sheet for me. Upon that sheet was the list of credentials I would be submitting to the Social Security office. These ultimately proved to be insufficient accreditation for the acquiring of the S.S. Card, and I was refused the card. When I complained about this and the subsequent $97 fee charged to my credit card, I was refused a refund, or assistance of any kind by GovSimplified. I am currently "disputing" this charge through my bank. I am of the opinion that GovSimplified engaged in a willful submission of insufficient credentials in my case, for the sole purpose of collecting the $97 fee, with no regard as to whether their "service" would be successfully rendered.
