I am writing this review about GoWestmoreland Paratransit MATP services. I have been riding with them for at least two years. And have encountered several problems with GoWest... First, anytime I ever have to call the 800 number one of the trip apt schedulers named Connie always (never fails) to be VERY hostile, sarcastic, confrontational and rude with me! It never fails! And for nothing! It seems to me that she attempts to provoke me into an argument with her. Why I cannot begin to guess! All I do know is that she should not be permitted to do so! And I have heard other riders say the very same thing about her. She should definetly have to stop being so aggressive and rude. I have reported her at least several times; and and it appears that no corrective actions have been taken against her. Because she has not stopped subjecting me to hostility anytime I call to schedule a trip. And there have been many instances whereas I receive conflicting info about the time frame that I will be picked up either to or from any appt. I have been left quite a few times past an hour of the quoted pickup time. And when I call to question it Connie gets very rude for nothing. Latest incident on July 3, 2019 I took GoWest to a fitness facility in North Versailles around 8:37 a.m.. My return trip time was between 12:06 and 12:35. I waited for my ride to return; and it never came! My cellphone had died and I didn't remember the 800 number. Or I could of asked the front desk to call. Granted I was sick and ran in bathroom to throwup. But it was within the time window quoted. But when I came out, the desk person said that there was no white bus that pulled up. Therefore I don't understand what happened? Thank God I knew somebody at the gym, and they were nice enough to take me home. I do know that it is a big bldg.; and part of the building sits all the way around the back of the entire shopping strip. And it is painted purple and has the name of my gym written on it. But the entrance of the gym is all the way around the front of the strip of stores. I am not sure what happened with this time. However, something similar almost happened. One day last month at my apt in McKeesport, I got there without incident. But for my return trip, it was late. But not only that. I was sitting right at the glass door waiting for bus. Next thing I know I was told by another patient that there is a big white bus sitting down the street parked on opposite side of street (with flashers on); sitting under a tree. The gps would of brought him to my apt site. So I couldn't understand for the life of me, why the bus was parked well down the street from my apt and no where near where I was. So I stood there (UP the street) waving him down to come up to my dr office. When he finally saw me, he pulled up to me, having me cross the street to board. He did apologize for that and for being much later to get me. He also told me that at my appointed pickup time; that the dispatcher put two more trips to pick up. But it seems to happen allot to me. But some of the things seems deliberate, to make me a no show. I do appreciate the MATP. However, I do believe that the customer service phone trip schedulers should be held accountable for inappropriate conduct towards riders of GoWest paratransit since it is a service that Pa Dept of Human Services pays for us to have the benefit of medical transportation. Therefore, Connie has a job to do in her role. and shouldn't be hostile rude and confrontational with me or anybody that has to go through her or someone else to schedule rides.
