GP Landscaping Reviews (1)

Review: I entered into this contract on May 4th. Work was to begin by Mothers Day in unison with other contracted work with another company installing privacy fencing, and be completed by Fathers Day. Gordon stated that he would be at my property to remove fence posts and begin the original dig with the equiptment. The contractors from the fence company came removed the existing posts and began to work. Gordon was notified of this and stated he would be here by Mothers Day. He was not. Gordon did not show up until AFTER the new fence was installed stating the he would now NOT be able to work due to restrictions with the equipment. Gordon was paid $1,000.00 on 5/8/15 and $500.00 on 5/28/15. He was very rude and confrontational that the fence was going to hinder is access. It did not. He came and using the machine scaled the small incline, cleared the top lawn and dug out for the walk area and new driveway. This sat untouched until the end of July. Grass was planted, and the wrong size Aborvitea were delivered. The shrubs I was told where bigger than I was to have gotten and Gordon complained about the price. I informed him that if the job was completed by Fathers Day as we had planned that he would not have had the extra expence of having to purchase the only shrubs that were now available. 2 of the said shrubs sat balled on top of the earth drying out and dying in the blasizing July and August heat. The grass did not take either and to top it off the wrong mulch was put down. Weeks went by and I had to stop the remaining work that was still not completed and I asked Gordon to make good on the work he did provide to date. I still have dead lawn on the top and he did recently plant the lower area that had remained dry dirt throughout the summer. He refuses to remove the dead shrub stating he hasn't given up on it yet. I have listened to the excuses that he had his brother quit and was understaffed...ALL SUMMER. I want this rectified and refuse to pay more for work I did not recieve.Desired Settlement: I want the dead shrub replaced and the lawn reseeded and established. I paid $1,500.00 of which per the invoce $975.00 is for the materials that I did receive and $525.00 for the inadaquade, substandard and incomplete labor I did receive. I also sufferd a sprained ankle and broken toe on unfinished, unsightly and unusable driveway that remains on the property.
