Review: when I was in the shop purchasing riding gear, I saw a helmet displayed on the wall. I liked the helmet so I purchased one, this was in jan. of 2013. a couple months later it was drawn to my attention by a tag on the inside of the helmet, that the helmet was made in the 4th quarter of 2006. this helmet was advertised as brand new, which it had never been used, but it was seven years old. I was under the impression of "brand new", not a 7 year old helmet.Desired Settlement: refund for full purchase price of helmet

Response:

To whom it may concern:

This customer purchased a helmet that was in fact "brand new" and is

still a current model being distributed and sold by the manufacturer. We had

only just received said helmet from the distributor 2 months prior to the

purchase.

It was manufactured in 2006, but for all intents and purposes, it was brand

new, in the box, having never been worn. Moreover, in this particular model of helmet, there is no structural or material difference between one manufactured in Q4 2006 and one manufactured today.

The customer purchased the helmet and received a discount. The retail price of

the helmet was $384.99, but was sold to the customer for $269.49.

It is our understanding that the reason for the complaint wasn't that we sold

him what he considers to be an old helmet. It was the fact that the helmet did not

meet the specifications required for the class of racing that he planned to participate

in. This is no fault of ours, and in fact, if he had provided us with the gear

requirements for the class of racing he would be riding, we would have been

able to help locate and procure one that met or exceeded those specifications.

However, since this information was not provided to us prior to the purchase we

believe we acted in good faith in providing this customer with the highest

quality products and service.

When this customer returned requesting a

refund, we were unable to provide one as he had been wearing the helmet in question for

several months. However, we did offer to sell him a different one - one that did meet the

requirements for the race class AT OUR COST. He declined this offer and subsequently

submitted the complaint to the Revdex.com.Thank you for your review of this response,[redacted]President and CEOGPMC Inc (dba GP Motorcycles)

Review: I purchased a used motorcycle from this dealer in September 2015. I still do not have the title to this vehicle so that I may legally operate. Even worse, I am now moving out of the area and need to sell the bike prior to my move but given this situation I cannot sell my bike. The cost of moving, storing, and waiting for title to resell in not trivial.Desired Settlement: I'd either like the title in my hand immediately, or to have them buy the bike back for a fair price (what I paid less reasonable depreciation). The other option would be to cover all costs associated with moving and storing bike (from San Diego to Seattle) until I receive the title.

Response:

The title hold up was from the previous lien holder USAA, we have the paper work now needed to complete the DMV procees and the issue will be resolved within days from now. Thanks [redacted] GPMC
