Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/12/15) */
customer bought the car on 7/24/2015, the car was in good running condition and had no issues the car had 78,531 miles on it at time of sale, also the car was sold as-is with no warranties, the customer was given a buyer guide stating that the...

car is as-is and signed it. customer put 1200 with a promise to pay $500 more toward the down payment by 8/6/2015 as stated per contract.
customer came on 8/8/2015 and stated it that she dosent have all of the remaining amount of the down payment that is due and she will only be able to pay $200 we agreed to let her pay the remaining $300 in about a week.
customer did not make any other payment and we contacted her multiple times regarding her payment, she would either make promise to pay and not do it or she wouldnt answer the phone.
On October 13,2015 we contacted her again regarding her payment, and she stated that the car is now having problems with the transmission, we told her we can have a mechanic check it out and see what kind of repair the car needs.
the car was brought to us on 10/20/2015 the mileage at the time was 81,341 we had transmission specialist inspect it and he stated that the transmission needs to be rebuilt, on 10/24/2015 the customer was contacted, she was not available so we spoke to her husband and left a message with him, we told him what the mechanic had stated and as a courtesy we offered to pay half of the repair cost, he stated that he would consult his wife and let us know, the customer called us back on 10/24/2015 at around 4:45 pm she stated that she does not want to have the car repaired and that she is not interested in the car anymore.
the customer was told she can make her payment and pick up the car, or it will be considered a voluntary repo.
As of now the car is available on our lot, and she still have to option to pay her past due balance and late fees and pick up the car and continue to make payments, her current past due balance as of 12/15/2015 is $1711.03.
The car was in good running condition when it was sold, the customer drove the car for almost 3 months and close to ~$3000 miles before having an issue, and even though the car was sold As-Is we still offered to help her with the repair cost. Also the Customer failed to uphold her contractual agreement that she signed by not paying the remainder of the down payment and not making any of her monthly payments.
the customer was given many chances to make her payment and take her car, but she failed to pay anything. we will give her 2 more weeks to pay her balance and retrieve the car, but that would be the last chance.

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/08/17) */
Customer purchased vehicle with her husband [redacted] on June 15, 2015.
The Customer husband test drove the car a total of 3 times before buying it to make sure everything is good, and one of those test drives was with both him and the...

customer.
Also before the purchase the customer took the car to his OWN MECHANIC "Sterling auto repair" on [redacted] Ave,San Bernardino, CA XXXXX. and had the car inspected by the mechanic in which he informed him that the car had no problems.
After the purchasing the vehicle, the car was once more taken to their OWN MECHANIC and he did a full checkup and the only problem present was the AC needed to be charged which is why the customer was given a $100 cash reimbursement.
The customer came back a couple days later and stated that the CD changer Magazine was missing, so we ordered one for him and he came back and picked it on June 19th 2015.
On July 25th the husband came to our store with very poor attitude yelling and screaming about the car having problems. we asked him to write everything down in his own hand writing but he refused, so we wrote a statment of what he was saying and had him sign and date each paragraph individually. after that we told him that we are not a mechanic shop and we do not do outside repairs, plus he had the car for over a month and had the car checked by his own mechanic prior to the purchase. At this point the customer became hostile, he asked that he recieves the written statment back, we told him we can give him a copy of it but he did not accept, he then proceeded to pull out a knife and started making threats, at which point the San Bernardino police department were called immediatly. before the cops arrival the husband stole the written statment and ran away. police wrote a report of the incident and criminal charges have been filed againt the husband, [redacted]
Due to the customers husband criminal behavior criminal we refused partake in any further communication with them after that point.
The Claims that the problems with the vehicle are preexisting before they bought it are a completely false, as they had it checked by their own mechanic TWICE before and right after the sale.
Also Claims that ABS light and SRS light were on before and is proof that the problem was preexisting is also inaccurate, (again car was inspected by their own mechanic) and also the ABS and SRS light have no relationship to the air suspension even if they do turn on (ABS stands for Anti-lock Break System, and SRS stands for Supplemental Restraint System which neither of those systems relate to the Air Suspension system). No real mechanic would state that those 2 systems have a relation to the Air Suspension.
This customer have been very dishonest, the statements she made about the problems being preexisting are false, the car was sold As-Is and inspected by them and their mechanic prior to the sale. Also the statements she made about the events of her husbands visits completely false (police report shows what actually happened).
We take threats against us very seriously, and we refuse to deal with or help anyone who is going to threat us with a knife, legal action have already been taken against the husband, and if the customer continues to make false statment about the events legal actions will be taken against her for defemation.
