GR Electric

Review: GR Electric was hired to update electric service for a property that my business partner and I purchased at [redacted], PA. Every time I had a question or concern about the job, the owner [redacted], got verbally abusive. When ever I would ask his employees a question or ask them to do something, he would call me and tell me that I don't know what I am talking about and I should leave construction to the professionals. I fired him twice, but my partner brought him back thinking it would cost more if we had to hire someone else in the middle of the job. He told me it would take approximately 2 weeks, its been 3 months. **. [redacted] claims that I am holding up his progress, however the everything he was waiting on was complete for him (floors cut, framing done) Now the sheet rock is going up and we noticed that the electrical boxes are so deep in the walls that we need to add box extenders (sloppy work). The wires in the basement seem to be all over the place with no apparent neatness. When installing wiring, wall were destroyed. Plaster and lathe was knocked out with hammers instead of cutting hole in the walls neatly. We had to install more sheet rock than originally planned due to the damaged walls. Finally on Monday October 20th, I spoke to one of GR Electric's employees and asked him to take care of a few items. Within 10 minutes I received a phone call from **. [redacted]. He asked why I was telling his employee what to do. I told him that things were not being done on time and I needed the project to be completed. He got very angry, called me a looser and a joke. He continued to talk trash about me and even brought my wife and personal life into the conversation. I asked when the job would be done and he said "I'm going to come to the property and smash your face". Then he escalated his threat and said "I'm going to kill you". At that point I ended the call and went to the police station to report the incident.Desired Settlement: **. [redacted] claims that we owe him $7500 for the rough in of the commercial and common areas. The remaining balance would be $6100. However, since I will not have GR Electric finish the job, I believe it will cost much more than $6100 to have someone else complete the work and repair all the damaged walls. I propose that we hold payment to GR Electric until I have the job finished by another electrician. Then determine how much he deserves to be paid based on how much it cost to finish the job.

At this time, I have not been contacted by GR Electric LLC regarding complaint ID [redacted]. They have threatened to sue me for slander and defamation of character and have demanded that I retract my complaint to the Revdex.com. I have contacted my attorney and he will pursue that matter from here. Thank you for your attention in this matter.
