On 8/20 I contacted the company ( GR Osterland), after confirming call800 that this was the company that requested that my property be marked for utilities. I requested that prior to any digging happening on my property that I speak with a project manager to understand what this 'fir profit' organization planned o do for *** ( another for profit) company. I was assured that someone would contact me. This did not happen. Workers showed up 2 days later.
I set the expectation with the works that my property needed to be restore to the condition that it was in prior to them digging. They completed the work, leaving my yard in a terrible shape. Vehicle track marks dug into my yard destroying the grass. Dirt was thrown over the places where holes were dug but not even leveled and inadequate grass seed provided to even grow grass.
I contacted the company on 8/27 and 8/28 and they promised to have someone out to review my complaint.
Someone came to my property, acknowledged the bad state it was left in and promised to have dirt, grass seed, hay to level the area and provide quality product to correct the problems. They promised that the work would be completed prior to Friday 9-4.
On 9/4 I contacted the company to confirm that this would be addressed today. No callback was received.
After receiving a complaint from *** August 27th, 2020, we called back and let her know we would make sure that her yard was properly taken care of. We alerted our Subcontractor, who actually performed the work at her location. We also had a manager from G.R. Osterland Co. go out to speak to *** directly on August 31st to confirm what needed to be done. Our Subcontractor did go out to do a restoral and he put grass seed and straw down before Labor Day, which by the time we revisited the site on September 17, 2020 was already growing. On the 17th *** came out and spent the time with our Manager to make sure that the final restoral was to her liking. The area where the grass was growing was still a little unlevel, so we used a tamper to level the ground, added more grass seed and peat moss to rake out. We did not add more straw at that time because there was already a lot of it in the grass and did not want to suffocate the growth that was already taking place. The grass should be able to flourish with the conditions as it had grown quickly with our first application. We have completed restoral as per our agreement with our customer and *** agreed that she was satisfied with what we did on September 17th to close out this matter. Please find before and after pictures attached.
If you have any questions, please contact us at ***
Sincerely,
***
