Review: I chose to go to the Grace Kelly Salon for a haircut on October 4th 2013.My appointment was with their junior stylist who will cut hair for half of the fee that the senior stylists charge. I went in and was asked by the junior stylist what type of style I wanted. I proceeded to try and explain, they brought in a hand held pad and asked me to show them a picture of the style I wanted. I wasn't fast enough in my search on the unfamiliar piece of tech. equipment and sensed their impatience. Feeling rushed I asked for a magazine of hairstyles to look at but the only one that was offered pictured outlandish hairstyles. The owner of the salon spoke briefly with me and asked how I part my hair so I told her on the right side, usually, she then quickly told the junior stylist to trim my hair all over and give me side bangs. I made an attempt to tell her that I didn't think they were understanding what I wanted but the owner interrupted and told me in a quick uninterested manner that it would be alright, and not to worry about it. The junior stylist proceeded to cut my hair, calling the owner back to get assistance with my bangs then she finished cutting and blowing my hair dry. Before she finished I asked her if I would be able to part my hair on both sides and she said, "sure." When she finished I paid the bill of $25 for the cut adding a $2 tip for the stylist. I knew that this cut wasn't what I wanted at all but the atmosphere in this salon wasn't overly friendly so I just paid and left. When I arrived home my children, 17,16,and 14 years old asked what had happened to my hair. Looking at my hair in my bathroom mirror I could see why my children were wondering what had happened. My bangs were severely crooked and extremely short on the left side, the right side hadn't been blended correctly and were much longer than the left side. I wasn't able to brush my bangs over to the left side without looking even more ridiculous. Called the salon but was told that I got what I'd asked for! No refund!Desired Settlement: I want to be refunded my $27 payment.The owner spoke in a very condescending manner to me and seemed unwilling to accept responsibility for the bad haircut that I had received. The owner tried to make me think that I didn't know what I was talking about. She said, absolutely no refund, she said that I had gotten the haircut I'd asked for.

The client called and asked if we still had a junior stylist, I said yes. I looked up her information in the salon's system and realizing she was a repeat client of this stylist. Our junior stylists are half the price the senior stylist, because they are right out of school and do not have the level of education required to charge much more then 25.00. My jr. stylist helped the client find photos of the hair cut she was asking for on the salon’s iPad. The client wanted something new but came with no photos for her own. I, the owner walk by and explained to the client what the differences between the cut she had and the cut she wanted in the photos.

We gave her an extensive consultation lasting about 10-15 minutes before she even took her back for the shampoo. Halfway though the cut I walked by and asked if ail was good, also asked what side she parts her hair so the side bang can be cut correctly, she said right. (One of the main reasons we got photos and explained the difference in the bang she had and the one she was showings on the iPad. A side bang is longer on one side then the other to make the bang go to the side) Once again my junior styiist called me over to assist with the bang area, and I did (excusing myself from my client to help again) The client's hair looked amazing, just like the photos she showed us and I even complemented my junior stylist on the good job.The client was checked out by my receptionist and the jr. stylist and asked if she would like to book her next appointment She said no. (The owners station is right beside the front deck)

Client called after getting home yelling about the price and hung-up on the receptionist. I called her as soon as I could and asked why there was a problem, explaining to her this is why we got our iPad and looked at photos, also explaining that she can do so much with the side bang and how many different looks she could have. She also hung-up on me. $25.00 is very inexpensive for a hair cut in any saion especially a high end salon like Grace Kelly Salon. The junior stylist are very good and always trained and mentored to be the best.

Costumer service is the most important thing to the team at Grace Kelly Saion along with your level of training and mentoring young styiist.

I am rejecting this response because: the owner of Grace Kelly Salon did not try to correct the problem that I had with a haircut I received at Grace Kelly Salon from her junior stylist but instead spoke to me in a condescending manner, in a phone conversation explaining that my dissatisfaction, was my own fault.

I returned to the Grace Kelly Salon with hesitation after receiving a previous haircut from this particular junior stylist because based on my families income and size the price charged for a haircut from a junior stylist, is affordable. The first haircut I received there wasn't satisfactory either however the blunder wasn't as obvious as my second haircut that I received from the same junior stylist. When I made my appointment I asked indirectly if they had any other junior stylist's available but when I entered the salon I was approached by the same junior stylist. I was told both times by the receptionist who took my calls that the junior stylists would always be able to get help from their more "skilled senior stylists" if necessary.
