I left school in my 11th grade year. After many years of regretting my decision, I decided to look into finishing my high school diploma. My state was partnered with Graduation Alliance which made it free through my state program, I have since graduated and have attended a community college and I am now in the process of obtaining a Bachelors degree through a university. I cant express how grateful I am to this program and how it has changed my future for the better. Thank you!
I started the program in April 2022 I believe and finished my courses in early June 2022, but I still have yet to receive my diploma. I have spoken with my academic advisor multiple times, and he tells me we are waiting for ODE to correct a credit issue. Well, here we are and it's approaching the end of September. I understand it isn't the advisor's fault, or maybe even Graduation Alliance. But I have tried to reach out to Graduation Alliance and never receive anything back. I even emailed the ODE to see what else was going on and heard nothing from them as well. I am counting on this so I can get the job I want and start pursing my career in the medical field. I called and left a message with the main office of Graduation Alliance just now September 22, 2022 @ 9:35 AM we'll see if I heard anything back. I am not upset or angry I would just like to be reassured they're working on getting the issue resolved and I will be getting my diploma sometime soon.
My daughter has ADD and anxiety disorders, so a traditional High School was just not working for herShe would come home everyday crying and failingShe has been with Gradally for about months now and has all A's and B's! She had to basically start her Freshman year over and is almost done, so she will finish her Sophomore year on timeShe can take her time with the harder subjects and flies through the ones she already knowsIt has built up her self-confidence and she no longer hates school! She has even expressed going to college to become a lawyer - which before she didn't even want to finish HSWhen looking at homeschooling, I was not comfortable providing the curriculum portionI wanted her to have every opportunity to either go back to her public High School and college with a real diploma The teachers reach out with online study sessions and give positive and helpful comments on assignmentsVery responsive!
