Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.[Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.] Regards, [redacted] First you are making an incorrect assumption about me hitting something in the road to cause the wire problemI recall being questioned about this issue in a very unfriendly mannerI am not sure what caused the problemas for the diagnostic test I declined the repair request concerning the possible instrument cluster problem;however I did not agree to have the diagnostic test doneThe price quoted was extremely high therefore I feel that the diagnostic fee should be waivedI still feel that I deserve some if not all of the back I am still without a vehicle so therfore I deserve some form of reumeration

Case Number #[redacted] – [redacted]
[redacted] came into Grady’s Tire & Auto on September
18, 2015 with a 1997 Pontic Sunfire which did not have the check engine light
on at the time;...

however, the vehicle was running terrible.  The customer had hit something in the road
which caused several wires to break and/or come loose underneath the vehicle
(this is noted on the invoice #[redacted]).
One of the wires that was running from the PCM to the instrument cluster
was broke which would not allow the check engine light to come on the
dashboard.  The mechanic repaired the
wire and that is why the check engine light was on when the vehicle left this
facility.  The check engine light displayed
several EGR codes as well as other emission’s related problem that were not
fixed because the customer declined spending the money to have this
repaired.  The mechanic replaced the temp
sensor and map sensor in the vehicle and tuned up the vehicle which was also
charged to the customer.  The total
amount for invoice #[redacted] was $495.16 which was paid by the customer.
On September 29, 2015, the vehicle was then towed into
Grady’s Tire & Auto Service because the vehicle would not crank.  The problem was the security system had shut
the vehicle down causing the vehicle not to crank - the security system runs through
the instrument cluster.  The service
manager spoke with the customer about pulling the instrument cluster out of the
vehicle to determine the problem. Again the customer declined pulling the
cluster out of the vehicle because it would entail pulling out the dashboard in
order to get to the cluster.  Grady’s
Tire & Auto Service, Inc. cannot determine the problem until the cluster is
removed from the vehicle.  The mechanic
still does not know if the cluster is not getting enough power, or it is a bad
wire, or it could be the entire cluster is bad.
All of this was explained to the customer but still the customer declined
the repairs.  The customer is charged
with a diagnostic charge because the mechanic had to run other test to narrow
down the problem with the vehicle which the customer was aware of and approved.

Regards,
[redacted]  First you are making an incorrect assumption about me hitting something in the road to cause the wire problem. I recall being questioned about this issue in a very unfriendly manner. I am not sure what caused the problem. as for the diagnostic test  i  declined the repair request concerning the possible instrument cluster problem;however I did not agree  to have the diagnostic test done. The price quoted was extremely high therefore I feel that the diagnostic fee should be waived. I still feel that I deserve some if not all of the 495.16 back.  i am still without a vehicle so therfore I deserve some form of reumeration.
