the left front tire of his vehicle. We have signs posted at the counter about our initial diagnostic check out charge, which is $84.90. We called customer to notify him that the tire in question needed to be replaced and the findings of initial check out of the Engine Light. It was explained that from the initial findings of the diagnostic test that an additional test of the Evaporative System (Smoke Test), to narrow down the issue of the lean codes would need to be performed, which would cost an additional $84.90 to perform. It was explained to him that it would bring his total check out fees of the Engine Light to $170.00 ($169.80 to be exact). Customer declined going any further with checking out the source of the engine light concern, stated he wanted only the tire replaced and oil change. Disputing customer is familiar with this initial check out fee, as he paid the same charge in March 2012 for a "Check Engine Light" diagnostic testing. Customer specifically brought vehicle in for "Check Engine light” diagnoses. All shops charge a check out fee for pulling engine codes. Review: Took car in for service. Engine light on, tire bubble, oil change needed. Took on a Saturday, was told it would be Monday before diagnostic could be done.

Received a call that diagnostic would be $ 170.00 to run. I responded that since the car had so many other problems, do not do anything besides change the

tire. She said it would be $ 97.00 for tire plus install total $ 120.00

When I went to pick up the cart, the man said it was a total of $ 244.23. I mentioned that I told lady on the phone not to run diagnostic and that total would be

for tire only of $ 120.00. Another man stated that they had to run the diagnostic. I was told on the phone what the diagnostic price would be, and told them NOT

to run the test. I also said to ONLY change the tire and do nothing else. They did those services anyway.Desired Settlement: I wish to pay for the the replacement tire at my quoted price of $ 120.00 and be credited $124.23 in unwanted services.
