Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: I'm sorry- I thought I had more time than days to respond to the businesses reply I now see that the case is "closed." This is very unfortunate, especially because the business (Graf Automotive) is completely incorrect, as the car they are talking about in their reply is NOT the car I own; the mileage is different for one (NOT over 160,miles) Graf did not perform an adequate inspection on my car I will be sending over my invoice for my car and its repairs that had to be done very recently after Graf Automotive looked it over and deemed it OKThank you for your help[redacted] Sincerely, [redacted]

Mr [redacted] called us to look over a Audi Ahe was interested in purchasing We talk times on the phone prior to the car arriving , agreed on a $visual inspection as he said in his complaint " a look over" We checked all window motors, lights, fluids, brakes at @20%, ,tires ,oil level was fine , all fluids were full etc; we test drove vehicle ran good I spoke with Mr [redacted] about the problems these engines have building oil sludge ,he said he was aware of this issue , this car had over 160000, miles on it , more than once I told him to beware of these vehicles he would always answer with "yea yea I know all about the problems with the V.Wengine Audi used in the A4." I even went so far as to tell him I would not own one myself He bought it anyway Now he is upset with his purchase ,and wants to blame me for his short sightness on this purchase , I asked him if he even tried to pay any less than asking price He did not, not my fault He called times after the purchase and I told him not to blame me and quite calling No refund .I did my job gave him my advice He did not take it We just received this notice yesterday as all others ended up in our junk mail folder

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: the service provided by this company is inadequate and not true to what was said would happen Simply, the service provided to me was the bare minimum, and had I know what I was actually paying for, I would have either paid much more for a service that I was expecting and/or told I was getting or not have given them my business at all, but being Graf Automotive said they would check the car out for me like I was requesting for $and actually failed to do so, I still feel the $should be either refunded or partially refunded I will be attaching my bill from my mechanic that shows what I had to do to get the car properly running for myself, shortly after Graf Automotive had deemed the car OK and said I was good to go for a while Sincerely, [redacted]

Graf’s Automotive, LLC34707 Production LaneAstoria, Oregon 97103Phone: 503-325-6831Date: March 6, 2017RE: [redacted]
Invoice#[redacted]   Dated January 18,
2017In response to Revdex.com complaintIndeed Ms. [redacted] brought her vehicle into our shop for
inspection of the Rack...

and Pinion on her 2004 Subaru Forester.  Under inspection, we found the Inner Seals leaking.  We gave her an Estimate for the repairs.Upon removing the Rack and Pinion, we found the Outer Tie
Rod ends were stuck on the Rack and Pinion.
We ordered New Tie Rod Ends and had to wait to receive them because our
local auto parts stores did not carry them within their inventories.  MS [redacted] was informed about this
situation. When Ms. [redacted] dropped off her vehicle for repair, she
asked us to install a Block Heater and Fog Lights.  We ordered the Block Heater but, the Fog
Lights were expensive and did not ordered them until we could talk to her about
the high price. We do not have Alignment capabilities at our shop so we
sublet the Alignment out.  If I did not
align the vehicle, then her tires would wear out prematurely and cause unsafe
driving conditions and she would be angry at that.We do not give “quotes”, we give out “estimates.  In this case, we found we needed the Tie Rod
Ends after work had begun and Ms. [redacted] was informed of this.  Also, the fact they were not in stock in our
town.Ms. [redacted] did return after picking up her vehicle and
we noticed steam from her Radiator.  Upon
inspection, we found the Seam between the Tank and Cooling Fins were seeping
and it’s purely coincidental.  I do not
know where she got the “Puncture” idea as the Radiator was not Punctured but,
leaking at a seam. When I talked to her about the Fog Lights, she declined over
the Phone as the bill was higher than she thought, although the Block Heater
was not on the original estimate either. We are a Napa Car Care Center, so she has a Nationwide Warranty
on our work. All she must do is call the number I told her to call which is on
the Warranty sheet that she received with her paid invoice. We have given her
all the necessary paperwork to take care of any issue that is caused by our
work on her vehicle. Therefore, no refund for parts or sublet will be given.Had we not done the Tie Rod Ends and Alignment, she would be
upset.  Since we did the Tier Rod Ends
and Alignment, she is upset and seems to be a no-win situation.

In July, Mr. [redacted] came by our Auto Repair Business and spoke to me, (Nick G[redacted]) about doing exhaust work on his truck. This truck being a 1995 Ford F250 with a 7.5 Liter V8 Engine. He had purchased his own headers which was a low quality and cheaper part and Mr. [redacted] said as much. I...

informed him that we could not and would not warranty the Headers work. It is also written on the invoice. I also informed him that the Air Tubes would not work with the headers that he had purchased to be installed. Mr. [redacted] said he knew that and he was okay with that. I also told Mr. [redacted] that at the time, the job would be up to $1500 plus depending on how many Manifold bolts broke in the process. This type of engine is notorious for that happening. Also, it could take quite some time for the job to get done. Mr. [redacted] said he was okay with that. He also said that after the fair (Clatsop County Fair) was over then the work would be scheduled. So on Wednesday, August 5th, the work was scheduled to begin. Upon the removal of the exhaust manifold, our technician found 2 broken bolts. The bolts are very time consuming to be drilled out due to the location of the bolts. The side of Cylinder #7 broke off and our Technician had to weld in a stud . And again very time consuming. On Friday, August 7th, Mr. [redacted] called and asked how it was going. I informed him at that time what had happened to the bolts again, he was okay with it. On Wednesday, August 12th, Mrs. [redacted] called and asked how it was going. I told her I was working on some other scheduled jobs and  wasn't sure how far our Technician was that was working on their truck and she asked if it would be ready by Friday. I said I was sure that it would be. On Friday August 14th, we went to start the truck and found the battery to be dead and put our battery charger on the dead battery for 4 hours and it never took a charge. The battery was over 7 years old. The [redacted] did not want to buy a battery from our shop so they decided to bring one that they would purchase elsewhere on Monday. (we are closed on the weekends) We then put a used battery in the truck to move it. The truck started right up. On Monday, August 17th, during lunch Mrs. [redacted] brought her battery that they purchased at [redacted] which we installed at no charge. Mrs. [redacted] then paid the bill and told me that she would pick up the truck after she got off work. When Mrs. [redacted] paid the bill, I told her what I had told her husband that there is no warranty on the parts that they provided and that the Headers are notorious for leaking. The bolts need to be tightened constantly. It is written on the invoice. As to Mrs. [redacted] email she wrote at 9:28am on Tuesday, August 18th .  Ido not check me emails every minute of the day. I check them during lunch time. So in conclusion, we worked over 40 hours at $100 an hour equals $4000 and only charged $1077 in labor. We also included a Oxygen Sensor in the invoice that was not part of the original Estimate. And again, the Labor and Parts are only Estimates. A job like this would take 3 weeks to drill out all the bolts and build studs. So we will not refund any funds nor carry any warranty. The Left Cylinder Head may need to come off for repair of stud. I am also a Vet and would not cheat any customer. It seems to me that this situation is to be buyers remorse at this time.

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because: the service provided by this company is inadequate and not true to what was said would happen.  Simply, the service provided to me was the bare minimum, and had I know what I was actually paying for, I would have either paid much more for a service that I was expecting and/or told I was getting or not have given them my business at all, but being Graf Automotive said they would check the car out for me like I was requesting for $50 and actually failed to do so, I still feel the $50 should be either refunded or partially refunded.
I will be attaching my bill from my mechanic that shows what I had to do to get the car properly running for myself, shortly after Graf Automotive had deemed the car OK and said I was good to go for a while.  Sincerely,[redacted]
