I'm am writing in response to my complaint ***First in her complaint was the amountI clearly stated in my email my charges per hourWhich are per hourSaid it would be around not that it would be thatShe wasn't prepared to move at all she didn't have things boxed and ready to go
she hired a moving crew not a packing crew which is what I explained in our conversation on the phoneShe took that at berating her I wasn't I was clearly stating what she hiredAs far as the box of can goods that were not takenShe admitted the box was torn and still wanted my guys to take it you can't move a box that's already torn and they didn't touch it that's poor boxing which isn't what we do we are movers that's clearly what she hiredAs far as her place honestly we typically refuse jobs as such as hers it was not healthy at all very filthy and unhealthy to my guys I just explained that if they get sick being in a place like that it's my responsibility and I typically don't allow them to do those jobsThey didn't tell me till later what the place was likeI refused a job a couple weeks ago due to mold in the basement that's what I was explaining to her she took it as mold in her placeThat wasn't what I said to herI never once called her a fool or tried to berate her like she saidI'll be honest this boils down to her only wanting to pay she said flat out she wanted back which is what I did and I didn't need To my guys put in the hours on her job and I will pay them but refunded her and honestly didn't need toAnd clearly stated in my email is my hourly rate and that her bill would be around Didn't state it would be I'm super easy to get ahold ofThe things she had in question she could've contacted me at anytime to see what to do about moving themI get emails and phone calls all day from customers I welcome them to call and ask I would rather they are prepared to go not wait till the day ofShe didn't seal up much but 25% of her boxes of you know a moving truck is coming it's pretty clear that your items will be stackedThat's easy to know to seal boxes she waited till that day to talk about thatShe's a writer for the local paper and in a unthreatening way was making it clear what she does I figured if I didn't do something she would write a story on me so I felt I had to issue a refundWhich isn't right for me at all because I lost moneyMy biggest problem is her saying I'm a bad business manI do a lot for my workers that most employers don't and I support my community hugely which is what a businessman should do support those who support youI should be the one that could complain about my customers but I don't I suck it up and go on to the next jobI do around moves a year I can't get to all them ahead of time I get to very few to see if they are prepared correctlyI work days a week in the trucks with my guys I'm a worker besides a business owner which is what I explained to herIn closing this has been resolved in my eyes but maybe not in hersI'm pretty upset someone would complain this much about me I'm the most easy going guy ever to work with she's just one of those that wants everything for free or almost free
