company charges even if u only put garbage out once a month I believe they shouldnt charge if they dont stop at houses im lucky if I have 4 bags a month I believe if they only stop once a month they should create a prorated amt like 10.00 for that month for those customers.

My garbage gets picked up on Tuesday mornings. I set it out every Monday Night. The garbage men failed to pick mine up. I called on Tuesday and spoke with one of the office ladies. I didn't get her name. Dumb on my part. She said if the garbage was still there by afternoon to give her a call bk. I didn't get home until office hrs were over. I called Wednesday morning and told the lady they missed me and she said the garbage men said my garbage wasn't out. She was very rude and basically called me a liar. I told her I am not a liar and my neighbor can also call and tell her it was out. They wanted to charge me 25dollars more to come bk and get it. She also stated nobody in the office stated they spoke with me. Who's the liar here. Very shady business operation.

Review: I only had service with Graichen Sanitation for a period of eight days out of an original 90 days daservice agreement which I had paid $78.00 for My service dates were from Nov. 12th - Nov. 19th or 20th. It was on the 20th of Nov. that I spoke with [redacted] and explained that I wanted to discontinue my service, because I had found out that I could dispose of my recyclables for free, and my garbage for $2.00 a bag. I have only lived in Waupaca since Oct. 25th. It was during that conversation that [redacted] said I would receive a refund of $50.00. On Nov. 30th I received a envelope from Graichen sanitation that not only didn't contain my $50.00 refund, but instead contained another bill for $78.00. When I called them on Dec. 2nd, I was told that my check would go out by the end of the week. Today is Thursday Dec. 12th., and when I again spoke with [redacted], she did not offer any explanation as to why I have not received my refund other than that payments are sent out twice a month. It's already been 23 days. [redacted] and Graichen Sanitation continue to cheat me out of my money a day at a time. I demand to be paid.Desired Settlement: Immediate payment of the $50.00 I'm due, and this complaint documented on their record.

Response:

On October 28,2013, [redacted] called the office to set up garbage and recycling service. We require the first 3 months of service to paid for in advance and we bill out quarterly (every 3 months). We offer to our customer to pay over the phone with a Visa, Mastercard or Discover card to start their service or we invoice them and once we receive the payment here in the office we

Give them a call to let them know we received their payment and set up their start date and the delivery of the containers.

On November 8, 2013 we received [redacted]’s payment and called him to start his service on Tuesday November 12, 2013. He had ordered a 65 gallon toter cart for garbage weekly pick up at 17.00 per month 51.00 every 3 months and 96 gallon toter cart for recycling at 9.00 per month 1x month pick up 24.00 every 3 months. He sent a check in the amount of $78.00, check #51238580.

At the time he set up his service we give the customer different options of container size for garbage and recycling. If they wish to take their own recycling into the nearest recycling station or have us pick it up for them. Different areas are closer for Landfills and Recycling stations than other areas that we service.

On November 19, 2013 [redacted] called after we already delivered his containers and he had garbage & recycling pick up on November 12th, 2013 and he had his garbage picked up on Tuesday November 19, 2013, he said he found out on his computer that he could take his recycling into the Waupaca Regional Recycling Center located in Waupaca for free. Also that he could take his garbage there and pay so much per bag. Which he is correct he could purchase clear bags at grocery stores located in Waupaca and pay $10.00 for 5 tags and each bag needs to have a tag.

[redacted], my office manager is the person who received his call to discontinue, and according to her she told him that yes since he is cancelling his service we would refund $50.00 back of the $78.00.

He said he understood and we set the orders out to remove our toter carts and cancel his service.

In [redacted]’s complaint he said he called the office on December 2, 2013. I do have a new office personal working that started in the beginning of November and if he talked to her, she does not know when the customer refunds are sent out, [redacted] my office manager does the refunds 2x a month, normally on the 2nd and last Friday of the month. She did not send out refunds on November 29th, 2013 the last Friday of November, as that was the day after Thanksgiving and she was off.

When he called December 12, 2013, which was not 23 business days, it was only 15 business days from his request to cancel his service. [redacted] did talk to him and told him the situation and according to her he was upset already and was not listening to what she was telling him and just blurted out he was reporting our company to the Revdex.com and hung up.

On Friday December 13, 2013 the 2nd Friday of the month, he was issued check number 16957 in the amount of $50.00. This was put in Friday afternoons mail, which goes to the post office at our closing at 5:00 pm.

As for the invoice he received on November 30th, I’m not aware if that is the original invoice sent out to him and he just received it on the 30th, he never commented as to whether he received the original invoice or not or if received 2 invoices, I’m not sure about that part of his complaint.

If I hadn't contacted the Revdex.com I sincerely believe that I'd still be waiting for my $50.00. It's inexcusable to treat people as if they don't matter. In Graichen Sanitation response, she stated that (no) bills were paid on the day after Thanksgiving day. She didn't say that the company only paid their bills once during the month of November. I shouldn't have had to call after waiting 23 days for a refund that the company had already agreed to send me. I accept the past due amount of $50.00 that I received dated 12/13/13, but insist that my complaint stay on their record.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
