Grand Automotive Reviews (%countItem)

On March *** I purchased a 2015 Subaru WRX Sti. Upon inspection it was found to have 3 dry rotted tires and most importantly the 2.0 liter engine block of a 2005-2009 Subaru Impreza. It should have a 2.5 liter engine. I contacted the sales person several times. She finally gave me the email of the general manager who told me in an email "Performance Sports Cars often have AFTER MARKET ITEMS on the vehicle installed by previous owners." I do not consider an older inferior engine block an after market item. I would like them to do the honorable thing and unwind this fraudulent sale. I also believe the manager was dragging his feet in responding to me in order to clear a 30 day benchmark to try and stick me with this cobbled together vehicle.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ***, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

I am disappointed but not surprised by your admission that you sold me an inferior engine block, which is the heart of the vehicle. You also make no mention of the unsafe tires you stuck on the car. It has also been having overheating issues, and is missing bolts that attach the engine to the body.

I Bought a used car from grand automotive *** Before purchasing a car they told me I have to take their factory warranty and pay an extra 2000 dollars and it wasn’t optional. Upon purchasing the vehicle I pointed out some defects in the door and tires etc and they said that they will take care of it. It’s been almost one month I spoke with 4 different people about the issue and they keep saying don’t worry don’t worry they will schedule me the appointment and fix the defects. About one month now I called about twice a week spoke to Angie, brittney, and Johnathan also and still no where. They never took care of my previous car loan. I’m going through and funeral and for about 4 days my previous bank called that I am 20 something days past due. I been calling the dealership about 2 to 3 weeks since purchased regarding that matter and still it isn’t resolved. I never missed a payment and it’s going on my record. The previous bank said they never received any form of payment and nothing is pending. They also was very pushy and wanted me to write a good review in front of them. I was also told that the finance manager wasn’t there and he would be in another day to see if I was approved for the loan. They lied he was there and they called me a hour later. After I went through this I told them I don’t want the car and why am I forced to pay the extra 2000 from them and they can’t honor their warranty why am I paying that money for. I took the car to the manufacturer and they told that both turbos needed to be replace and the alternator as well. My car has been sitting there for about two weeks I have no car.

I’m not happy buying a car with issues that wasn’t disclosed to the dealer and I bought the car before this entire pandemic happened there was no excuse for which my car shouldn’t have been looked at. I paid so much money for the warranty and for the car which they overcharged me. The car was initially 15,000 when seen it online I don’t understand on the contract how is it 25,000. Further more you saying your going to look at it doesn’t mean anything because it’s been more than a month I tried to contact you guys and everyone says the same thing. On top of that I been out of a car for 2 weeks plus. It’s unfair to me and you guys cannot change my mind I told the dealership multiple times to return the car cause I’m not getting anywhere. Don’t not trust you guys any more. I been reasonable with the time and phone calls I made which I shouldn’t have so many times and also so be lied to. That’s false advertising and you guys forced me to write a good review in front of you as well

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ***, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

John, all you are showing me is this warranty form that I am now seeing for the first time since I purchased the vehicle. You are not listening to any of my concerns and it seems like you don't care about them. You have not addressed anything I have wrote to you, this just further proves my point of the unprofessional treatment I have been receiving from this company and you. I am still going to take further action, having explained my situation to you numerous times with no effort on your part to accommodate me. I am seeking like I said before a full refund.

I purchased a car from Grand Automotive on June , 2019. The finance manager, Thomas persuade me to purchase a road hazard tire and wheel protection warranty from Nation Safe Drivers (NSD) for my "new" car. About two months ago, I damage two wheels of my car due to a pot hole. This is covered under the wheel and tire protection since it is considered a road hazard.

As instructed on the back of my contract I called NSD to file a claim but when I spoke to a representative they did not have any information of my contract being in their system. The representative advised me to get in contact with the dealership where I purchased my car so the marketing department at the dealership will get in touch with the representative at NSD.
NSD instructed me that Grand Automotive needed to send a remittance letter that the contract was paid for since NSD never received nothing from the dealership.

It’s been almost two months that I’ve been calling Grand Automotive to speak to the finance manager and/or the contract manager but I can never get in touch with them. The representative(s) at Grand Automotive take my information down and say they will let the finance manager call me back because he is “with a customer”. This was said on several occasion. The finance manager is avoiding my calls. This is a terrible way to treat a customer.

Since I could never reach anyone over the phone I went to the dealership in person to try to get this matter fixed. I live in Westchester, NY therefore, I had to miss work and pay tolls both ways in addition to gas as another expense. I spoke to Johnathan in person who is the dealership manager. He insured me that the claimed remittance letter was sent out by someone in his department. He told me to give it about 3-4 business days which I did. This was about 2 weeks ago. I called NSD and my claim was still denied because they still have not received anything. I try to text and call Johnathan as well but receive no answer from him.

It’s been almost two months since I was involved in a road hazard due to potholes in the streets and I have tried to file a claim with a warranty I purchased 7 months ago and my claim is denied due to the dealership unethical behavior. I am truly disappointed in this dealership and regret buying a car there.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ***, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

This is a lie. The contract is not valid if the contract was valid my claim would not be DENIED. Every time I call NSD they inform me that the DEALER has to verify the contract is valid by sending the remittance letter to the following email address ***

I purchased this car about 7 months ago, I’m truly disappointed and regret buying a car at your facility. I’ve been dealing with an air leak in my rims for 2 months.

The dealership finance/contract manager needs to get in touch with someone at NSD (marketing department) to resolve this issue. I’ve been to Grand Automotive several times and this issues is never “fixed” when I come in person. I don’t have the time to keep going considering the fact I live far and it is a inconvenience.

We just verified with NSD policy provider phone # spoke to Tim and he said your membership # is *** Contract # *** is been active since 6//2019

Purchased an Acura ILX from this dealership over a month ago and am still waiting for my license plates and registration. The temporary plates that they provided me are now expired and they have been less than helpful. I have called countless times trying to follow up and keep getting the run around. The most recent call I made I was told “if you get pulled over because your temporary tag has expired - we will pay for it”

That isn’t this issue! The issue is I purchased a vehicle over 30 days ago and am still chasing my plates. No one seems to know what’s going on and the lack of customer service is disturbing

Grand Automotive Response • Jan 04, 2020

I purchased a 2012 Audi A5 in September 20*** from Grand Automotive, formerly known as Planet Mitsubishi at that time. I also purchased a 3 year extended warranty at the time of purchase of the vehicle. I subsequently sold the vehicle on May , 2019. As per the terms of the contract of the extended warranty, I was due the 6 month balance on the value of the warranty. I initially spoke to Kenny on 5//19, who was the Finance Manager at the time, and he told me to send in the required documents to process the refund. I sent in all the necessary documents on the following day 5/. I was told that the refund process would take a maximum of two months. To this date I have not heard anything about my refund. I have called and visited the business several times and have only gotten the run around from the Staff. The last time I was there on November *, 2019, I spoke to the new Finance Manager, Tomas Ramos, who assured me that he would handle the refund. He requested that I forward all the documents to him, which I did on 11/. To this date, I have still not heard anything. Grand Automotive is a predatory business and should be investigated! They are nothing but thieves who mislead customers and give them the run around. They are quick to take your money, but will refuse to issue you any refunds as per the same contracts which they provide. While I was there I heard multiple customers complaining about the dishonest services that they propagate. I request that my refund be processed immediately without further delay!

Grand Automotive Response • Dec 23, 2019

As previously communicated with you,we can only request the refund from the warranty company after you send us following documents (1) proof of vehicle sold with date and(2) proof of odometer at the time vehicle sold and also(3) copy of the service contract. Please upload these documents when you reply to this complaint.I will gladly forward your documents to the warranty company. They will send the balance of monies due to you

Thank you

My name is ***. The fact that you refer to me as Miss only confirms that we have never spoken. I have sent the documents you referred to on multiple occasions, with no response from your dealership! The documents were sent on 5//19 and 11//19. Please see documents and proof attached. Given how long I have been waiting since submitting my documents originally on 5//19, please expedite the refund process. I have had several discussions with Kenny and Tomas Ramos about processing my request with no resolution!
