Review: On January [redacted], 2015, I took my family to see Big Hero 6 at Grand Avenue Cinemas.I could not believe that this theater would charge anyone to watch a movie on this screen. Not only was the screen damaged, but the movie projected with dozens of lines through it. Perhaps hundreds of lines. When I went to complain about it, the [redacted] tried to tell me it was an old projector. It looked so bad that even a projector from the 50's would have looked clearer. I am not a snob - you had to see the quality of this film to believe it. It not only had lines through it, but other markings as well. The [redacted] would not offer me anything unless I pulled my family out of the theater to leave. At that point, we had already started the movie. I don't understand how they can charge anyone to sit in this theater. I did not take any issue with the run-down conditions of the theater, but the projection was worse than a bad bootleg copy. Please do something about this. I do not accept that it is an older projector because the film was basically unwatchable and I did not even get an apology for it. I would like this theater investigated, specifically the screen where they projected Big Hero 6.Desired Settlement: I would like an apology and they should be forced to fix this issue. They do not need to update to the latest and greatest technology, but they can not take money from people and project scratches and lines all over the film. A full refund should be issued with the apology.
