Hello,We received an order from [redacted]s late on July 12th. The order was entered into our system on Thursday July 13th. This week we had just returned from a week closing for vacation. We normally ship orders in 1 to 3 days. After a Holiday this time can take a little longer. Late On...

the second business day, Friday July 14th we attempted to ship [redacted] order. At time of Shipping His Credit Card was Declined. On The Third Day after Receiving this order, an email was sent notifying [redacted] that his credit card was declined - Monday 08:35 am Good Morning, Thank you for choosing Grand Brass. We have your order packed & ready to ship. Unfortunately, the credit card entered was declined upon checkout. Please contact our Sales Dept. at ([redacted] to update your payment information with us. If you no longer want this order, or would like to reorder at another time, please let us know so that we can return the items back into stock. Thank you,Grand Brass Shipping Dept. Thank You,[redacted] Shortly After we sent this email we received this chat message:Chat started: 2017-07-17 01:06 PM UTC(01:06:31 PM) Visitor [redacted] is now known as [redacted]. (01:06:31 PM) [redacted]: I see my cc was declined. I entered the wrong security code but it never locked it out. I am quite angry I was not notified of this. I order d this almost a week ago. Do you just let you customer's orders sit around unshipped? Horrible practice. What do I need to do to get this shipped. I have orders backed up and waiting! (01:07:50 PM) [redacted]: [redacted]We then recieved a phone call from [redacted].His attitude was very poor on the phone and he was degrading to our Service Staff. He has projected this poor attitude torward us previously. Our Manager [redacted] Who Took the Call,  decided we can no longer proceed with our business relationship with [redacted]  so we canceled his order and asked that he go elsewhere. A right that we certainly have as a Vendor. Unfortunatly for [redacted] we had to exercise Our Right not to do business with him further.

This company serves the public with a unique product. They are what businesses should strive to be. I would never hesitate to order from them if they had the product which suited my needs. Their prices are fair and their merchandise is the best one can purchase of its kind. Long may they thrive!

Grand Brass has utter CONTEMPT for their customers. I've been ordering from them since 2014 and order less and less from them due to their complete LACK OF QUALITY CONTROL - and unreasonably high costs for shipping and handling. Most of the brass and nickel plated bases and canopies I ordered from them arrived SCRATCHED (deep enough to catch a fingernail) and DEFECTIVE. I returned some of them for a refund. When I asked them if they could send me items without scratches and defects their response was that I was "too picky", "complain too much" and that they would not sell me these items in the future because "my standards were too high". Wood bases ordered from them arrived warped and unusable and their response was that "other customers don't have these problems". Last week, I received an order of brass plated parts. They all arrived RUSTED, scratched, with the brass peeling off everywhere. I called to inform them that the parts they sold and shipped to me were in awful condition and absolutely UNUSABLE. After I asked the man on the phone why Grand Brass would sell such garbage to their customers he said some customers don't mind. He gave me a refund and told me to throw out the parts. Apparently, it wasn't even worth their time and money to ship the parts back because they were in such bad condition - and they knew it! That pretty much sums up their business philosophy and attitude to their customers. They'll sell items in unusable condition if they can get away with it, regardless of quality and customer satisfaction. They have no shame when it comes to making a buck off their customers.
I like that Grand Brass has a good selection of parts - that's why they get one star. But, because of their GREED, RUDENESS, CONTEMPT FOR CUSTOMERS and complete lack of quality control they don't deserve more than one star.
As an alternative, I recommend [redacted]. They have a good selection of parts, competitive prices and have always been a pleasure to deal with. They require customers to set up a business account with them but it's easy to do and worth it if you have a resale license, etc..
Also, shops on [redacted] have lamp parts and you'll avoid all the extra shipping and handling charges that Grand Brass adds to squeeze more money from their customers.
Bottom line: Grand Brass has a good selection of lamp parts but is a sleazy operation with no quality control and terrible customer service. Only buy from them as a last resort if you can't get certain parts elsewhere or you don't care about quality.

Wonderful prompt and responsive service a breath of fresh air where most companies do not care anymore. Can not wait to do business with them again.
