Grand Canyon Planning Associates Reviews (3)

Dear Ms. [redacted]:

Please accept this as our formal response to the above referenced complaint you received  about our business.

I was quite surprised when we received your letter due to the nature of the complaint. Although the person who wrote the letter of complaint...

("consumer") did not specify how they received our solicitation, I surmised that it must have  been  a direct mail piece, as we do not have this consumer's information, including email address, in our database.

Grand Canyon Planning does not frequently use direct mail to solicit services we offer. However, periodically we do use direct mail to advertise our upcoming complimentary workshops. I am guessing that this mail r is the one to which  the  consumer. is referring.

When we are sending out direct mailers (postcards) to advertise our upcoming workshops, we do not do this in our office, but rather go through a reputable, local direct mailing service. We provide the artwork for the postcard, as well as the demographic to which we want it mailed. The direct mailing service handles it from there - printing, pulling a list of names and addresses within our  specified demographic, and mailing them out accordingly. Other than notifying direct mailing service of our demographic, we have no control* to whom the postcards are mailed. However, we will contact the direct mailing service requesting that this consumer no longer receives mailers from our company. I am in hopes that they will comply with our  request.

I am not sure if this consumer does not wish to receive mailers from Grand Canyon Planning Associates, LLC specifically, or does not wish to receive unsolicited commercial mail in general. If it is the latter of the two, this consumer may wish to officially opt out of receiving unsolicited commercial mail. I did a simple Google search and found the website www.[redacted].org which has instructions on how to do just that.  I hope this consumer will find this information helpful.

I would also like to address this consumer's frustrations with our website and customer service.

1. WEBSITE: After receiving the complaint, we tested our website and could not find the glitch to which this consumer refers. Perhaps that feature was not working the date this consumer logged on to our website. We have, however, removed that feature from our website making it easier for the public to contact us via our website.

2. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Our receptionist area is well trained on how to handle incoming calls, including those inquiring about upcoming workshops. We have never had a designated number for "...making Reservations only," as all mailers include our main telephone number. Throughout the years we have had a couple of calls from folks wishing to be removed from our "mailing list." The receptionist staff is trained to direct those calls to our Marketing Department, who would then notify the direct mailing service.*

In closing I would like to say that it is frustrating knowing that someone had a negative experience with Grand Canyon Planning.  Our goal is to provide a positive and pleasant experience when furnishing quality financial and estate planning services to the public. We will make every effort possible to ensure that this consumer never again receives a- mailer from Grand Canyon Planning. I hope this will be considered a satisfactory resolution to both you and this consumer.

Should you have any questions or need additional information to resolve this matter, please call me at ###-###-####, and I will be happy to assist you.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will wait until for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

Regards,

Review: I received a solicitation to a 'Special Presentation' from Grand Canyon Planning Associates. I have NO INTEREST in their products or services. I advised them of that via their 'contact us' icon on their website ... when I entered the 'verification letters' (3) on that form at the bottom of the form and hit 'send', it came back 'incorrect letters' and had removed my message. I tried again - SAME THING! When I called the phone number on the mailing I was informed that that phone number was for making Reservations only! Grand Canyon Planning Associates has made it impossible to request a simple request - such as removing my name and address removed from their mailing list(s).Desired Settlement: Remove my name - as shown on the mailing - [redacted] - from all of their mailing lists.
