Review: On 7/**/14 at approximately my car overheated coming down [redacted]. A friend ([redacted]) followed me to Mobil station located behind my building to obtain price quote for necessary repairs. At no time did the [redacted] or mechanic ([redacted]) advised of applicable charges to diagnose and provide an estimate. Less then an hour later A. called to advise to meet him downstairs as estimate to repair was absurd ($1,500 labor and materials for a new thermostat & water pump) and that we would take the car to mechanic in Brooklyn. I understand A. and [redacted] had discussion on price quote and [redacted] returned to cash window while they continued discussion. When I arrived A. informed they were crazy and now wanted $50 for providing estimate. At no time did the [redacted] and/or mechanic advised of applicable charges to provide an estimate. I got in the car and drive to the mechanic located in Brooklyn. The car was repaired on 7/** for a price of $285. At 3:30 pm on 7/[redacted] advised he had received a call from the Mobil Station demanding payment for estimate. I went downstairs and spoke to the [redacted] at the window and asked he and/or his mechanic cease contacting my friend as no mention was made of surcharge for providing a repair quote, that they were crooks and that we would not pay. The [redacted] informed my friend owes him money and he will talk to him man to man. I informed I would contact Revdex.com and he informed me to do that. I departed telling him not to call my friend as the car is mine. I advised [redacted] not to have further discussion or interaction with this place.Desired Settlement: Apology and stop contacting friend ([redacted]) who accompanied me and left his contact number to receive quote for car repairs.
