Review: I brought my daughter for a routine dental cleaning. The dentist recommended we do sealants and said its covered by Humana and we would not have to pay anything. We scheduled the sealants and was told they received verbal approval from Humana. After performing the sealants, we then found out Humana did not cover the sealants. I have a confirmed email from [redacted] with Humana that said the recorded conversation proves they provided the incorrect patient information when verifying this for approval. Now we are being asked to pay the $88 for services we would not have done if we had known there was a cost. Afterall, we only went for a dental cleaning and did not request the sealants. We agreed to do them because they said it was covered 100% and they verified with Humana. Now they are sending me to a collection agency. This surprises me because I have sent numerous emails to Beth J[redacted] in their office and not hearing back from them at all anymore, so left with no choice except to open a complaint with the Revdex.com to hopefully resolve the matter.
Below is written confirmation from Humana they provided the wrong patient information:

Unfortunately, I have bad news. We reviewed a recording of that call. The dentist’s office indicated that you were the patient, not [redacted] As such, we correctly reviewed your tooth history and provided correct benefits. Had the office indicated that [redacted] was the patient, we would have indicated that she previously had sealants on the teeth in question. I am sorry, but we cannot honor an exception in this case. You will have to work that out with the dentist’s office.

At this time, my complaint, ID 11294135 regarding Grand Family Dentistry has been resolved. I was very disappointed they made me do all this work for something that was their own fault and sending me to a collection agency. They have now dropped the outstanding invoice, but I would not do business with them again in the future. Thanks.
