On 12/06/Mr*** *** had came into Grand AveMotors to purchase a Jeep LibertyHe gave a $1,000.00, $in cash
and $in a check, as a down paymentHe showed up alone even though his wife was the co-signer of on the contractI had told Mr*** we needed his wife to go forwardYet Mr*** insisted in taking delivery of the vehicle claiming that his wife would come by first thing on Monday morning to take care of her portion of the finance contractAt this point he was fully knowledgeable of finance terms and monthly paymentYet was not unsatisfied at the time of deliveryMonday morning came around and I received a text message from Mr*** saying he is having issues justifying the numbers from the finance companyAt this point in time their down payment check had already been deposited into our business accountI spoke to Mr*** about financial concerns so then I went ahead and worked their financial options through several banks and lendersEven once I had got better terms and even provided an additional discount on my vehicle price to help accommodate their needs for a smaller sum of monthly paymentAs well as agreed to take a look and fix brakes on truck which was the issue they claimed to be havingMrand Ms*** refused to go through with the contract having now had the Liberty in their possession for full daysOnce final decision was made by Mrand Ms*** on 12/12/the Jeep Liberty was returned to Grand AveMotors, an agreement was made and signed by Mr*** and Manager of Grand AveMotorsThat agreement states that in order to settle the matter Grand AveMotors would refund a total of $from his original down paymentMr*** came to Grand AveMotors and took delivery of a check in the amount of $with the date of 12/26/As far as we were concerned they agreed to settle this matter in the way stated above was in the signed agreementIf there is any further questions please feel free to contact me at XXX-XXX-XXXX
Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. The price of the car was agreed upon prior to me seeing the car in person via text messaging so I had not see the air bag light on and once I did see the light on the price was not reduced at all, not one cent.I brought the car the next day to my mechanic for a safety check in which he informed the car needed a new clock spring for the air bags to work.As I have stated in my original complaint since the clock spring is what releases the air bag which is a safety item and not covered by the sold as is notice I feel the dealership owes me a new clock spring
