In response to Revdex.com Complaint, ID ***: The customer booked a Deluxe Birthday Party in the Grand Prix Karting KIDZone for pm on 4/17/Prior to the event, the customer asked for pizza to be there and ready to be served at 2:pmThe pizza was delivered just before pm
and on time for the party; however, the customer chose to have the children participate in activities prior to eating After the activities, the customer complained the pizza was cold (it had sat for over minutes per the customer's request). In good faith, we offered to replace with a new order, but the customer decided to serve and eat the already ordered pizza anyway We still refunded the cost of the pizza even though we had no fault in the customer's choice to wait to eat Additionally, we provided extra Cotton Candy, plus free Snow Cones and Popcorn, as part of the party; going above and beyond to make the experience enjoyable for the groupOur Sanitary Policy for helmets was followed by our staff, having them disinfected in-between each use Additionally, every racing participant wears a Headsock with the helmet to ensure further sanitary conditionsOur Jungle Gym is disinfected and cleaned per State of Ohio standardsChildren cannot wear their shoes in the attraction, but are encouraged to put their shoes back on after exiting the jungle gym and entering the race track/arcade area to avoid getting their socks dirtyThe customer and children ignored this sanitary rule, which resulted in the dirty socks issueWe had a plumbing issue with one our toilets on Sunday 4/17/We called an emergency plumber to repair and encouraged our patrons to use any of our other two sets of additional restrooms until the problem was corrected The three sets of public restrooms in our facility are cleaned and inspected on a regular basis to ensure sanitary conditions and proper inventory of necessary paper productsThe customer's disputed purchase price of $was not correct, since they only paid $plus taxThey received all the contacted services for that cost, plus additional considerations exceeding an additional $No additional refund will be issued as part of this inquiry

I will attempt to address all of your complaints in order. I was distressed to see that we had associates that were not performing to the expectation that has been setIt is our goal to provide an outstanding experience so that we may retain your business for future endeavorsI will take
appropriate action with all associates you listed in the email that did not perform to acceptable levels
As for the experience on the track, I will attempt to explain a few things that may not be clear to you. You stated "all the different karts" we have, we have adult Karts that are the same model and yearThere is no difference between any of the kartsAs for the race itself, each race actually runs on a "timer loop"This is a device that is embedded in the track that records the time of each lapAt the end of the race, we print out for you a record of your laps, including best and worst lap timesAs these go karts are in essence mini race cars, it is simply not practical or safe to run position races (like how a NASCAR race runs)Most of our customers are people like yourself that come out for a little fun and simply do not have the skill set required to run a race for position. I did see the maintenance man on turn attempting to communicate as you went by put the visor downIn the video clip, your visor is in the full up position, which can be a serious safety hazardThe visors can be cracked a little for ventilation, however in the full up position is just not safeIt is important that the seat belt remain buckled, as if it is not it is no different that driving a car with out the seat beltYou stated in your email that the karts were "sliding and bouncing off the walls". In watching the race, it appears that you were going thru the turns at full throttleAgain, these are race cars, and this will happen if you do not drive under more control
I will be more than happy to refund you the $that you paid for your races that dayPlease feel free to contact me here at Gran Prix Karting (614-246-3278) ext ***. We can work out how to get your money back to you
Once again, I do apologize for your less than ideal experience and will use this complaint as a training aid to better improve our performance going forward

appropriate action with all associates you listed in the email that did not perform to acceptable levels.
As for the experience on the track, I will attempt to explain a few things that may not be clear to you.  You stated "all the different karts" we have, we have 22 adult Karts that are the same model and year. There is no difference between any of the karts. As for the race itself, each race actually runs on a "timer loop". This is a device that is embedded in the track that records the time of each lap. At the end of the race, we print out for you a record of your laps, including best and worst lap times. As these go karts are in essence mini race cars, it is simply not practical or safe to run position races (like how a NASCAR race runs). Most of our customers are people like yourself that come out for a little fun and simply do not have the skill set required to run a race for position.  I did see t[redacted] man on turn 1 attempting to communicate as you went by put the visor down. In the video clip, your visor is in the full up position, which can be a serious safety hazard. The visors can be cracked a little for ventilation, however in the full up position is just not safe. It is important that the seat belt remain buckled, as if it is not it is no different that driving a car with out the seat belt. You stated in your email that the karts were "sliding and bouncing off the walls".  In watching the race, it appears that you were going thru the turns at full throttle. Again, these are race cars, and this will happen if you do not drive under more control.
I will be more than happy to refund you the $63.57 that you paid for your races that day. Please feel free to contact me here at Gran Prix Karting (614-246-3278) ext 231. We can work out how to get your money back to you.
Once again, I do apologize for your less than ideal experience and will use this complaint as a training aid to better improve our performance going forward.
