Grand Slam Auto Sales

I was sold a vehicle that was portrayed to me as a reliable mode of transportation. The car has cost more than it is worth.I purchased a 2003 [redacted] from Grand Slam Auto Sales in October or November of 2015. The price for the vehicle was $5,000.00. Within a day of driving the vehicle off the lot, my check engine light came on. It turns out that the oxygen sensor 2 was bad in the vehicle. Grand Slam Autos informed that they would order the part to fix my car and never did. All four tires were almost bald, even though the dealer told that they were new tires. Currently the vehicle leaks oil and coolant. The vehicle constantly overheats and half the time it refuses to start. I am constantly having to purchase coolant and oil so the vehicle does not completely break down. I have perform routine maintenance on the vehicle and done what I as the operator have to do to keep it running. I feel that the car I was sold was in fact a lemon and that it was simply doctored to look better than it was for the time of purchase.Desired SettlementI am currently in debt to this vehicle for 4,376.00. I am having to borrow money from a friend to pay off this car so that a new dealer will sell me a reliable car. I am asking that Grand Slam Auto Sales refund me the amount of $4,376.00 which is what I currently owe. I understand that by the time this is reviewed, that loan will be paid off by me; however I will be borrowing money to do so.Business Response I am the owner of grand slam auto sales everything [redacted] is saying is not correct , when [redacted] purchased the 2003 [redacted] with 164634 miles on it the car just had been inspected and there were a new set of tires put on that [redacted] as was the 02 sensor also I order him a new set of hubcaps and he was called and he came and picked them up.and this is this first we have heard about any problems he has had with the vehicle we have seen him driving this vehicle all over town so if there was a problem he should of came in before now he purchaced the vehicle 09/26/2015 he is making a complait on 03/31/2016 and all vechicles sold from grand slam auto sales are as is. but we give all our customers a 3month 4500 warranty thur. [redacted] warranty company at no charge to the customer and each customer is giving a copy of this warranty and is signed by the customer .so if a problem did arise it will be covered and they will not half to pay for the repairs except the 100.00 deductible . so if mr. [redacted] did have a problem with the car within the first 45 days or 3000 miles his repaired would of been covered all he had to do is read his paper work he was giving a copy of it the day of sale . thanks [redacted] Consumer Response This is not the first time the company has heard from me about this vehicle. I was in that shop almost every week getting something fixed. To include a water pump that needed changed because the vehicle was red lining. I was also told that a window motor and O-2 sensor were going to be ordered for my vehicle which never happened. Grand Slam Auto Sales doesn't even take the time to look at the records and see that my name is [redacted], not [redacted]. Final Business Response I all I can say that everything was done as promised to you , I also no if you had problem your warranty would of covered everything for the first 3months or4500 miles no question asked .I am not going to keep this up all cars are sold as is and the customer gets a free warranty from [redacted] which is 3months or4500 miles .you can't make everyone happy but we do our best ..I am sorry you fill the way you do but there nothing I can do for you now it's been 7 months since you purchased your vehicle . Please remember you purchased a 03 [redacted] with 164000 miles on it .
