Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:We were not told that the vehicle had no remaining manufacturers warranty due to being manufactured in CanadaIn fact, were told the opposite by the extended warranty salesman who looked it up on his computer who said the manufacturer drive train warranty was good This was backed up by the the attached Carfax warranty check, which shows the warranty is good for months or 14,miles We were offered an extended warranty which we did decline, because we had good faith that the dealer's word and the Carfax warranty report was accurate Regards, [redacted] [To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, the consumer must give a reason why they are rejecting the responseIf the consumer does not provide a reason the complaint will be closed Answered]

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: His argument is invalid The tire is still on the truck and is still holding air So this screw has been in there a long time I would have no problem taking one new tire if this was not a 4x However it is and needs matching tires I understand this is a used truck so I'm not asking for full price on tires I'm asking for half $is fair compromise Regards, [redacted] [To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, the consumer must give a reason why they are rejecting the responseIf the consumer does not provide a reason the complaint will be closed Answered]

My name is Josh V***, I am the General Sales Manager at Grand Valley Auto SalesI signed the sales paperwork with Mr***During the signing of the paperwork it was brought up that the customer would like his mechanic to inspect the vehicleWe then told him that our vehicle do go through
a safety inspection and any safety issues are fixed accordinglyThe customer lives over miles away, and I told him that if the mechanic found any "mechanical" issues that we would address them at that point in timeAt no point in time was there an assurance that natural wear and tear would be coveredi.e a screw in the tireIf there was a screw in the sidewall of the tire it would be losing pressure on the lot and at that point we would fix that, as well as Mr*** visually inspected the vehicle and took it on a test drive before purchasingWe feel at this point in time, a screw in the tire could have happened at any point in time over the 150+ mile trip home, and we are more then willing to pay for the tire out of good will but 600-dollars does not seem reasonable

Good Afternoon, Attached are two signed documents from the customer and the dealership. We show every customer and have them sign off on the CarFax and Auto Check, we thoroughly go over both so that way our customers are fully aware of service records and other things including origination of...

the vehicle. We explained prior to the customer purchasing the vehicle it was manufactured in Canada and had no remaining manufacturers warranty and then offered to sell them a warranty at a fair price. The 2nd document attached shows that the customers declined a warranty from our company. We would like to apologize to the customer that they did not fully comprehend what we explained to them but we feel we did everything to explain and then offer a warranty to the customer in which they declined. If there is some work to be done to the vehicle we would be more than happy to sell them a warranty and / or give them a discounted rate on the work done at our shop.

I am rejecting this response because the issues were pre existing prior to purchasing the car... my mechanic can prove this. So can the grand junction Subaru dealership, the ones who are fixing the car.

Sir at this point in time we can agree to disagree. The company is offering the amount that we offered before. We are not going to pay for a full set of tires when you inspected the vehicle before purchasing the vehicle and took it on a test drive, as well as drove it over 150 miles home.

Good Morning, My name is Josh V[redacted], I am the General Manager for Grand Valley Auto Sales. I wanted to take the time to apologize that you are having issues with your vehicle at this time. After reading this complaint as well as looking into our records I did come up with some information....

On our used car inspection we have no history of having any issues with the engine of this vehicle. However, after the vehicle was purchased Mr. [redacted] did take the vehicle to a outside mechanic of his choice, who overfilled the oil in the vehicle by almost double the amount which it should have. In our opinion, due to this happening that can cause internal engine issues due to it being overfilled. The vehicle was brought to us with smoke pouring out of the exhaust. Once the oil was drained and re filled, all smoke issues went away, but we have no way of knowing if this caused an engine issue. I am more than willing to help out by offering to cut our shop labor rate down to the bare minimum as well as get the best price we can for the customer on an engine, we do have different sources to find engines not at retail pricing. Please feel free to contact me with any questions Josh V[redacted]General ManagerGrand Valley Auto Sales[redacted]
