I bought a 2012 range rover evoque for $14,500 in cash 4/13/20, soon as I drive the car home the engine light comes on..I notified the dealership and took it to get a diagnostic at pep boys, then told me it was a fuel gauge problem, as well as me identifying the amount of gas in the car was going up and down and not letting me know exactly how much gas I have. so couple days later I took it back to the dealership they said they would look at it and fix it, they charged me $250 to fix what they thought the problem was, which is a sensor they said the sensor just randomly went out, before taking it home I asked is that the only problem you see they said thats it everything else is good.. I took it back home the engine light came right back on, I called again and let them know it came back on, they advised me to take it to land rover company to have it "reset" . the day im getting ready to take it too land rover the battery dies and there is a loud noise that sounds like the car is still on, I jump start it and take it to land rover and I paid $215 to have them do I diagnostic test come to find out there is over $12,000 of repairs that need to be done to this car that I just purchased, including safety issues such as crack in the exhaust and fumes coming out, bad break pads, missing back seat belt, I cant even strap a carseat in the middle seat. land rover printed me a packet of papers stating all the issues to show the dealership, I took the car to the dealership and told them I just want my money back that its wrong to sell someone a car with this many issues I can buy a whole nother car with the amount of the repairs. they took possession of the car and wont give me my money back, they are ignoring my calls and when I go in person they put me on hold saying a manager is not available. ive gotten advise from my lawyer to take the next steps... this is my last chance to try to resolve this issue outside of court

I had my Audi 2012 Q5 to this dealership on April 2, 2019 to have a new crate engine installed. The first new crate engine the dealer service department said they installed, seized up after the install. Due to what I believe had been installation error on the part of dealership service repair. Service manager informed me that Audi honored the bad engine and ordered another crate engine-I was told-. Service manager then informed me on Wednesday June 12 that there was a problem. I was told the turbo manifold has a hair-line fracture it would cost an additional $1,500 to repair. I asked the service manager if that happened after the first engine seized. He told me that they had check everything and all checked out fine. Then in the same breath he said, "we didn't see it before", that is; the hair-line fracture. How do you not see a fracture if you say all checked out good, then work at re-installing another engine and all of the sudden you find a fracture in the manifold.
I purchased this vehicle in September of 2018 and have driven the vehicle for a total of 7 days.
Service manager informed me that they are losing money on repairing the vehicle at this point and to me they are attempting to have me pay for any errors created by this repair. I want the job completed with quality as soon as possible and with no additional cost.

Grand Valley Auto Response • Jun 29, 2019

This is Reuben the General Manager and I am sorry that Devin never told you that we were taking care of the turbo free of charge. He had come to me right after and explained the circumstance of how later they found the hairline crack in the turbo and I told him it was his fault, if he said the they checked it and all was fine then later say we missed the crack. So I am sorry it got to this point as he should have called you right away and told you that we were taking care of the turbo. Please call me if you have any questions, but I feel this response should have been done before the complaint but we are still care of it.

Thanks

I purchased a used vehicle from Grand Valley Auto in Lakewood, CO. I negotiated an "Out the Door" price, which universally means purchase price, fees, and complete taxes. After my first offer, the salesman returned and asked me to split the difference to help them cover taxes. I did and we shook on it. However, the dealer only calculated state taxes and RTD and not city/county taxes. Therefore, they lied to me. During these interactions, I was shown no paperwork and neither signed nor initialed any intermediate offers where I would have caught the issue.

After reaching an agreement, the process to finish up the paperwork took over 1 ½ hours before we could leave. Given our need to leave quickly due to the late hour and needing to get back to work, I rushed through signing paperwork because I trusted the deal upon which we shook. *Shame on mefor signing without reviewing and *shame on the dealerfor lying.

I admit I signed without reviewing anything. Had I reviewed the paperwork, I would have caught the issue. Subsequent discussions with the dealer did not yield satisfactory results.

On 2/24/2018 my salesman, David, confirmed all terms and conditions I agreed to were met by the dealer and the papers were ready to be signed. I responded to the dealer and asked to see the vehicle so I could inspect it prior to signing the papers. David told me the vehicle was being worked on and assured me it would be done after I signed the papers. I then went in and signed the papers. I noted that instead of a 60 month period the loan period was for 66 months and I noted the price was reduced $500 from $14999. I also noted the payment was reduced from $320 per month to $316. I thought these terms were necessary changes to get the loan through but they were not explained to me. I agreed on 60 months, $14999, and $320/month payment and those are the terms David confirmed. David also confirmed, among other things, that the sunroof, which did not work, would be made to be in working condition by the dealer. Well, after I signed the papers, David brought the truck to the doors. I was then able to inspect the vehicle, only to find the sunroof was not working. I immiediately went in to notify Chad, David's Manager. Chad went and spoke with David then came back to me and told me that in order to make the deal work, the owner, Justin, told David that they would not fix the sunroof and that David was supposed to tell me. I told Chad that Justin had given me a counter offer and that I signed that counter offer without being told about the counter offer. Chad asked me if David had talked to me about the counter offer and I said no and that I had no knowledge of this counter offer. Chad told me he was concerned about David as a Salesman. It should be noted that the finance guy told me, "David's on drugs." Chad offered to 'unravel' the deal. However, since I was feeling pressured and needing a vehicle I just accepted it and drove away. Since then, I learned I obtained an estimate for the sunroof repair which is $1000. I am asking for the dealer to pay this amount.
