DEAR Revdex.com COMPLAINT HANDLING, THIS IS in RESPONSE TO COMPLAINT ID NUMBER [redacted] MADE AN APPOINTMENT TO HAVE ITEMS INSTALLED THAT SHE PROVIDED. WE WERE TO INSTALL TWO TIRES , DO AN OIL CHANGE, WEST VIRGINIA STATE INSPECTION, AND INSTALL A LEFT FRONT NEW WHEEL BEARING. THE LEFT FRONT...

WHEEL SPEED SENSOR IS PLASTIC AND FITS INTO THE METAL HOUSING AROUND WHEEL BEARING. THIS HAD TO BE REMOVED TO REPLACE THE BEARING. THE OVERHEATING FROM THE SEVERELY WORN WHEEL BEARING COUPLED WITH THE MOVEMENT OF THE SEVERELY WORN OUT WHEEL BEARING CAUSED THE END OF THE SENSOR TO SWELL AND THE THE MOVEMENT OF THE WARN BEARING DAMAGED THE END OF THE SENSOR. THERE WAS NO POSSIBLE WAY TO REMOVE THE WHEEL BEARING WITHOUT REMOVING THE SENSOR. THE SENSOR WAS WORKING BEFORE REMOVAL BUT AFTER BEING REMOVED THE SENSOR NO LONGER WORKED. THIS WAS OF NO FAULT OF OURS. WHEN A PART MUST BE REMOVED TO REPLACE THE BROKEN PART REQUESTED TO BE REPLACIED IT IS NOT THE MECHANIC'S FAULT WE PRICED THE SENSOR AND TO REPLACE IT WITH AFTERMARKET PART WAS $400. WE WERE UNABLE TO GET AHOLD OF [redacted] AND ONE WAS FOUND ON [redacted] FOR $108.00. I MADE THE DECISION TO ORDER IT BEFORE I SPOKE WITH HER BECAUSE OF THE TIME IT TOOK TO GET THE SENSOR VIA MAIL. [redacted] AND HER BOYFRIEND CAME TO PICK THE CAR UP AROUND 5:00 DECEMBER 13, 2017. AT THAT TIME WE INFORMED THEM OF THE SITUATION AND THAT WE ORDERED THE PART ALREADY. WE ALSO GAVE THEM THE OPTION OF DOING WHATEVER THEY WANTED.. THEY WERE MADE FULLY AWARE THAT THEY WERE UNDER NO OBLIGATION TO PURCHASE THE SENSOR I ORDERED. BOTH [redacted] AND THE BOYFRIEND WERE OKAY WITH THE CHEAPER SENSOR THAT EVENING. THEY NEVER ONCE 1EXPRESSED THAT THEY NEVER WANTED THE SENSOR. WE RECEIVED THE SENSOR ON DECEMBER 18, 2018 AND INSTALLED IT. ONLY THE COST OF THE SENSOR WAS ADDED TO THE BILL NO LABOR WAS CHARGED TO INSTALL IT AS [redacted] STATES IN HER COMPLAINT. I CALLED [redacted] AND LEFT A MESSAGE THAT IT WAS READY TO BE PICKED UP. ON MONDAY EVENING [redacted] CALLED ABOUT THE CAR AND ASK THE AMOUNT OF BILL. SHE WAS TOLD $272.36 AND SHE QUESTIONED WHY THE BILL WAS SO HIGH AND SHE WAS GIVEN A RUN DOWN OF THE CHARGES. SHE THEN STATED THAT SHE HAD NOT GIVEN US PERMISSION FOR THE SENSOR TO BE REPLACED. SHE WAS REMINDED SHE COULD NOT DRIVE IT WITHOUT THE SENSOR. THE CONVERSATION ENDED THERE. NEXT MORNING HER BOYFRIEND CAME EXPRESSING HOW ANGRY [redacted] WAS ABOUT THE COST OF THE SENSOR. HE WAS ALSO ANGRY AND SPOUTING MANY DEROGATORY COMMENTS ABOUT US. I FELT AND STILL FEEL THAT WE WERE WITHIN OUR RIGHTS TO CHARGE FOR THE SENSOR. ONCE THEY HAD EXPRESSED THEIR DISSATISFACTION WITH THE BILL I NEVER CALLED [redacted] TO REMIND HER THAT THE CAR WAS REAM. THEN ON DECEMBER 20, 2018 AT AROUND 5:00 PM SHE AND THE BOYFRIEND CAME TO PICK THE CAR UP. WE SHOWED HER THE DAMAGED SENSOR. WHEN YOU LOOK AT THE SENSOR IT IS VERY APPARENT THAT IT WAS NOT MECHANIC ERROR THAT BROKE THE SENSOR AS [redacted] IMPLIES IN THE COMPLAINT. I AM ENCLOSING A COPY OF THE BILL AND YOU WILL REALIZE THAT WE WERE NOT PRICE GOUGING NOR DOING ANYTHING UNETHICAL.
