I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint I* ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
[Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.]Their response is ridiculousMy boyfriend went to Driftwood to check on the status of my car and to inquire again about the so called broken sensor they refused to show us*** from Driftwood kept saying every time I asked to see the so called damaged part, "It's goneWe already swept up the floor." After they threatened me with storage fees while my car sat on their lot while I took legal action, I decided to go pick up my car and pay what they claimed I owed them and then take action on the matter because I could not afford to keep the rental car any longer*** from Driftwood then showed me and my boyfriend a part he pulled out of his desk he claimed was the piece off my carhe said, "You can look at it but you cant have it." I'm not a mechanic, but I do not believe this part I was allowed to see but not take came off my carIt looked like the end of it had been cut off and the tip of it looked like someone had taken a knife and chiseled away at itWhy could I not have the damaged part they finally found that supposedly came off my car? We made it maybe 1/mile down the road and pulled into a gas stationMy car was making a loud metal grinding sound and the oil light came on in my carI decided to take it straight back to themThey jacked up my car and acted like they were doing something to it*** at Driftwood said my brake guard was rubbing and they fixed it a the oil light was on because they just did the oil change but it would be fine*** got into my car and drove it across the road into a church parking lot, turned around and came backHe got out of my car and said "You're good to go."We left and drove 1/mile and got onto the highway homeI then made it miles down that road and my car started making a very loud metal grinding/cranking noise so I immediately pulled over onto the side of the roadThe police and courtesy patrol stopped by and saw that it wasn't able to runI then called *** *oad side assistance because I still had it for life as long as I had the car although my manufacturers warranty has expiredMy car was immediately towed from there to the closest *** shop, about an hour and a half away from where I liveMy car has been there ever since because they say they engine is "toast" and the transmission might be "toast" tooI have not had a car all this timeI don't have the money for the repairsMy car ran fine when I took it into Driftwood for an oil change, new tires to be put on, the state inspection, and the wheel bearing replacedThis is too much of a coincidenceI believe these people caused this to happen to my carI am inquiring into my options on what to do about all of this

DEAR Revdex.com COMPLAINT HANDLING, THIS IS in RESPONSE TO COMPLAINT ID NUMBER *** *** *** MADE AN APPOINTMENT TO HAVE ITEMS INSTALLED THAT SHE PROVIDEDWE WERE TO INSTALL TWO TIRES , DO AN OIL CHANGE, WEST VIRGINIA STATE INSPECTION, AND INSTALL A LEFT FRONT NEW WHEEL BEARINGTHE LEFT FRONT
WHEEL SPEED SENSOR IS PLASTIC AND FITS INTO THE METAL HOUSING AROUND WHEEL BEARINGTHIS HAD TO BE REMOVED TO REPLACE THE BEARINGTHE OVERHEATING FROM THE SEVERELY WORN WHEEL BEARING COUPLED WITH THE MOVEMENT OF THE SEVERELY WORN OUT WHEEL BEARING CAUSED THE END OF THE SENSOR TO SWELL AND THE THE MOVEMENT OF THE WARN BEARING DAMAGED THE END OF THE SENSORTHERE WAS NO POSSIBLE WAY TO REMOVE THE WHEEL BEARING WITHOUT REMOVING THE SENSORTHE SENSOR WAS WORKING BEFORE REMOVAL BUT AFTER BEING REMOVED THE SENSOR NO LONGER WORKEDTHIS WAS OF NO FAULT OF OURSWHEN A PART MUST BE REMOVED TO REPLACE THE BROKEN PART REQUESTED TO BE REPLACIED IT IS NOT THE MECHANIC'S FAULT WE PRICED THE SENSOR AND TO REPLACE IT WITH AFTERMARKET PART WAS $WE WERE UNABLE TO GET AHOLD OF *** *** AND ONE WAS FOUND ON *** FOR $I MADE THE DECISION TO ORDER IT BEFORE I SPOKE WITH HER BECAUSE OF THE TIME IT TOOK TO GET THE SENSOR VIA MAIL*** *** AND HER BOYFRIEND CAME TO PICK THE CAR UP AROUND 5:DECEMBER 13, AT THAT TIME WE INFORMED THEM OF THE SITUATION AND THAT WE ORDERED THE PART ALREADYWE ALSO GAVE THEM THE OPTION OF DOING WHATEVER THEY WANTEDTHEY WERE MADE FULLY AWARE THAT THEY WERE UNDER NO OBLIGATION TO PURCHASE THE SENSOR I ORDEREDBOTH *** *** AND THE BOYFRIEND WERE OKAY WITH THE CHEAPER SENSOR THAT EVENINGTHEY NEVER ONCE 1EXPRESSED THAT THEY NEVER WANTED THE SENSORWE RECEIVED THE SENSOR ON DECEMBER 18, AND INSTALLED ITONLY THE COST OF THE SENSOR WAS ADDED TO THE BILL NO LABOR WAS CHARGED TO INSTALL IT AS *** *** STATES IN HER COMPLAINTI CALLED *** *** AND LEFT A MESSAGE THAT IT WAS READY TO BE PICKED UPON MONDAY EVENING *** *** CALLED ABOUT THE CAR AND ASK THE AMOUNT OF BILLSHE WAS TOLD $AND SHE QUESTIONED WHY THE BILL WAS SO HIGH AND SHE WAS GIVEN A RUN DOWN OF THE CHARGESSHE THEN STATED THAT SHE HAD NOT GIVEN US PERMISSION FOR THE SENSOR TO BE REPLACEDSHE WAS REMINDED SHE COULD NOT DRIVE IT WITHOUT THE SENSORTHE CONVERSATION ENDED THERENEXT MORNING HER BOYFRIEND CAME EXPRESSING HOW ANGRY *** *** WAS ABOUT THE COST OF THE SENSORHE WAS ALSO ANGRY AND SPOUTING MANY DEROGATORY COMMENTS ABOUT USI FELT AND STILL FEEL THAT WE WERE WITHIN OUR RIGHTS TO CHARGE FOR THE SENSORONCE THEY HAD EXPRESSED THEIR DISSATISFACTION WITH THE BILL I NEVER CALLED *** *** TO REMIND HER THAT THE CAR WAS REAMTHEN ON DECEMBER 20, AT AROUND 5:PM SHE AND THE BOYFRIEND CAME TO PICK THE CAR UPWE SHOWED HER THE DAMAGED SENSORWHEN YOU LOOK AT THE SENSOR IT IS VERY APPARENT THAT IT WAS NOT MECHANIC ERROR THAT BROKE THE SENSOR AS *** *** IMPLIES IN THE COMPLAINTI AM ENCLOSING A COPY OF THE BILL AND YOU WILL REALIZE THAT WE WERE NOT PRICE GOUGING NOR DOING ANYTHING UNETHICALYOURS TRULY, *** ***DRIFTWOOD AUTO SALES CLARKSBURG ROAD BUCKHANNON, WV
