The client requested a refund to a non-refundable session retainer on January 24,To avoid negative publicity, we offered the client a full refund on January 29, 2016; we informed the client that it would take 2-weeks to recover the funds invested into your session and issue a
refund. February 10, the client filed a claim against the business stating we did not offer services and a refusing to refund. That claim was not true, payment was a retainer to secure sessions dates, which we did; in addition, we started working on the clients session and even hired the 2nd shooter the client had requested. Upon being falsely accused and being asked to provide proof that we did our services, we provided the proof and withdraw our offer due to accusations. At no point did we agree to issue a refund in days, We were not contacted by the client's bank until April 14, 2016. Again, the client is being completely dishonest when she states that we refuse all contact, the client has not made any attempts to call or email us, the client's husband Facebook messaged the photographers personal account less April at 9:25pm, less than hours before filing this complaint, and the photographer did reply

Our position stands. We will not be issuing a refund. Dispute the transaction being a retainer and non-refundable, we still offered the client a refunds on January 25, 2016 with a timeframe of 2-4 weeks (February 8- February 22).  The client was notified of the timeframe and agreed. Prior to the timeframes expiration, the client file a false claim with their financial institution that we didn't provide services and refused to refund, at that point we revoked our offer.

Our contract does not state that we only shoot good pictures outdoors, the photographer is a professional and can take portraits in any conditions including indoors and during the night. The contract does state that we are a primarily natural light photography company,...

meaning most of out images are using natural light, including out indoor shoots. We offered the client a refund, despite our prior work on the client's sessions, the job lost due to reserving an engagement date, and the payment being non-refundable. This client only attempt to contact us was April 25th at 9:25pm, less than 24 hours before filing this complaint, via the photographer's personal Facebook messages.
