Yesterday afternoon, I recieved an update from you all regarding the complaint against Grandpas Shop LLC & GS
Constructuion which I submitted yesterday morningI think it may help to add to the original message a more specific outcome and would be grateful if you could relay this to the business owner(s)
Even though the verbal price qoute I recieved from the owner before any work occurred had a wide range of $- $per sheet of drywall to tape & texture, I am willing to pay the business the $rate (multiplied by sheets), amounting to $Additionally, due to the extra time the employees faced, I am willing to add a 10% premium on top of this rate in order to pay this bill in full and move forward to complete this business transactionTherefore, I feel a fair and reasonable adjustment to the bill would be an adjustment to the original invoice to a total amount due of $
If accepted, I would also like written notification from the business that the "Intent to Lein" document which was emailed to me on 09/26/14, as well as the actual intent to lein pursuant to W.S29-2-107, will be released by the company
I feel that if the business owner had visited the job site on either Wednesday or Thursday (09/or 09/25) and/or had provided any communication when he visited the job site on Friday (09/26) at 11:00am that the cost estimate would have been between 30-40% greater than originally estimated, this would have resulted in a different situationThe employees indicted that *** was expected to visit the job site on Thursday which he never didI do not feel that I should be charged for the costs the company was unable to control
Thank you for relaying this message and I look forward to a response

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business, and accept the final
invoice of $which *** identified in his responseAs such, I've mailed
a check for $which is PAYMENT IN FULL for the
invoice #092414AR related to the work completed on 09/26/
This was mailed via certified mail on 10/09/from the Cheyenne Post
Office to their business address in Cheyenne, WY. However, for
your records, there were several statements made in the response that
were inaccurate which I will correct.
First, *** *** stated he visited the job site to inspect the work
each dayThis is not true, he visited the site around 11:00am on Friday
09/26/at which time I expressed my concerns and he made no mention of
additional costsHe did point out there was extra time put in by the
workers to add one 2xbehind one sheet of drywallThis is largely why I
concur with the increase with the bill based on the original verbal
estimate.
Also, there were patches in the ceiling which required tape and acoustic
patchThere were additional holes that were the result of small wall
anchors/screwsThere were certainly not ceiling patches as he stated
in his response (could he have been drinking when he added these up?) This
is true since I installed the ceiling patches myself and even plugged
the majority of screw holes with patching spacklePlus, since he
never inspected the job before the work began or during the 1st two days,
I don't know how he can accurately make this claim of ceiling patches
Further, he never gave any verbal or written direction that there was a
charge for these patchesIf any communication of this was provided, then
we likely would not be in this dispute resolution process right now
Regardless, after *** & I had a phone call about the work, where he
was screaming into the phone - claiming I treated his workers unfairly and
insulted his dad, he was yelling at me, repeating that I had to pay in
full or he would issue the lienI could not get a work in edgewise and
began to repeat to him that I will not tell him I would like to see the
invoice before answering his question and responding to his threats
to lien (which by the way - I NEVER told him I would not pay him, I wanted
to review the bill and would pay him fairly)This agitated *** but
I invited him to come over and give me the billWhen he arrived at my
house, he continued to become more agitated, unreasonable and definitely
unprofessional at which time I asked him to leave my propertyHe refused
which was when I called the Cheyenne Police to get their help removing him
from my propertyWhen I was on the phone with the dispatcher, *** jumped in his truck and sped off
Cheyenne Police Officer Townsend (Badge # ***) responded and I told her
what happened. This is documented in case #***.
However, as I indicated above, I have reviewed their response, and am
accepting the resolution that *** is not willing or able to make any
adjustments to the invoiceAs such check #*** for PAYMENT IN FULL for
invoice #*** was mailed via certified mail today, 10/09/
Attached are a few images which
characterize the quality of work receivedObviously, there are no
pictures that can show the quality of the experience I had working with this
business, but my opinion is that the business's professionalism and
management is poorI was disappointed that even after communicating the
need to the workers and *** about laying plastic sheeting down to protect
from over-spray, neither provided any plastic or canvasNot on day one,
day two, or day threeI provided those materials out of necessity and trying
to help them "save time" from going to get someHowever, neither ***
nor *** cared enough to bring them these materialsI also pointed out to the
employees a large transmission fluid leak from their work truck and felt
compelled to give them scrap material to prevent a puddle of toxic fluid
on my driveway and on the street in f*t of my house. I also was shocked
when the day the workers were going to spray the texture on the wall, they
failed to bring a knockdown tool to the job siteAgain I provided this to
them in order to help them "save time" from returning to the
shop and further delaying their progress*** and *** agreed (verbally) that
the lack of protective sheeting was an oversight and the failure to even
bring the knockdown tool was "dumb."
I think the company has poor management and will not recommend this
company to anyoneHowever, I am glad to have paid my obligation in full to the
company and move forward from this point
Regards,

Dear Jay Pollock
I have received your letters in regards to Mr. [redacted]'s complaint. We will not settle for the lesser amount because more work was performed. I gave him a smoking deal and had conversations and was present with him every day they were there. He had no problem until the last day when he and his neighbor decided to have a few drinks while my guys were cleaning up. I have done 4 different bids for Mr. [redacted]. Each time he scaled back the work. That is fine. I know these things tend to get cost prohibitive.  I did some repair work for free while I was there on an estimate. The project was to finish all of the drywall in a new bedroom which he estimated to be 8 sheets . He would frame the walls and hang the sheet rock. I quoted him between $20.00 to $30.00 per sheet for that work. I was not charging him for time. As a matter of fact my guys got it done and done very well in less than 30 hours. If you know tape and mud you know this is great. When the project got started Mr. [redacted] asked us to do some ceiling patches in his popcorn ceiling. I agreed and informed him that our rate for that was $35.00 per patch. He agreed. There were 27 patches. We then found that the sheet break in a section of drywall was not supported. We had to remove the sheet, re frame the wall, and rehang and shim the sheet rock. At just my normal labor cost this would run him $210.00. I met with him earlier the last day and he was fine as a matter of fact he had me do another quote for his bathroom. When the job was almost complete and we were just touching up the last of the popcorn ceiling we one of the texture cans exploded. I made my guys shampoo his carpets. This is where the alcohol entered. My Father runs my offices and has the same expertise as I do went out to do a walk through. He observed the drinking and was berated with insults about our employees and him. It was then that I received a call from the on site supervisor that Mr. [redacted]  was becoming hostile and insulting and refused to pay his bill. I called to try to mediate as Mr. [redacted] and I had a good working relationship. He seemed ok on the phone and asked me to come do a walk through and bring the bill. I agreed. When I arrived at his home he was in my estimation impaired. I told him I was uncomfortable entering his home after he had been drinking. He said he was fine and I agreed to take a look. I was really happy with the work. This angered Mr. [redacted] who wanted to argue about drop cloths and the texture can issue. I asked him if we fixed the problem and he just wanted to cuss at me and repeat the same sentence over and over. I tried at that time to give him the bill. He said get the F out you little Bh I am not taking anything, and I am on the phone with the police. I said fine I am leaving and he continued to rant and follow me to the curb screaming obscenities and making threats. As I was getting to my truck he yelled he would pay $300.00 if I took it right then. I then called the police my self and was informed that he never called them. I expressed my concerns and they sent an officer out to his home. I then received a call from the officer and she told me I did the right thing. I told her I would send the intent to lean and that would be my last communication through standard channels. The charges should have looked like this.
Drywall finish              $240.00
Re frame and Hang  $210.00
Ceiling patches          $945.00
Total                              $1404.00
I only charged him     $350.00 in an attempt to make him happy. I guess I failed. I will not drop my price any more as I am already out more than a grand. I will continue with the lien process if $86.00 is that important to him.
