Your letter regarding the above referenced complaint was received in our office by mail onNovember 20, I have now had the opportunity to review the claim fileBelow explains ourhandling of this claim. This claim arose out of an automobile collision occurred on April 6, 2015, and was reported
to Grangeon April 7, Upon receipt of the claim we immediately began our investigation, which quicklydetermined fault rested with our insured, and the Complainant was advised of same.Unfortunately, the cost to repair Mr*** Toyota 4RunnerRegarding Mr*** Toyota4Runner exceeds the market value, which deems the vehicle a constructive total lossWhile Mr***asks that we remove the "total" from his claim, this is not possible. The market va lue of his vehicle was determined to be $2,625.00, prior to licensing, registration, andtitling fees are includedThis was established from researching comparable vehicles advertised for sale .It should be noted that considerable prior damage to his vehicle was found on inspection which wasconsidered in our evaluationMr*** rejected our offer, and we invited him to submit support for hispoint-of-view that the car was worth moreAfter reviewing the support material submitted by Mr.***, we made him additional offers, based largely on those comparables, of $3,prior tolicensing, registration, and titling fees are appliedStill, Mr*** rejects our offerIt is noted that someof the comparables submitted my Mr*** are far less than what we have offered, himIn an effort ofgood faith, we have paid him the undisputed amount of his loss, based on this last offerWe believe wehave been more than fair with Mr*** and have listened to his concerns, as evidenced by oursubsequent offers. With regard to his injury claim, he initially advised us that he was not injuredHowever, he did advise usat a later time of his intent to present an injury claimBased on our understanding of what his injuryconsisted of, and without any documentation of same, a fair offer to resolve his injury claim was made
We also invited him that if he had any injury information we were not considering, and any newinformation regarding his injury, to please forward any supporting documentation to prove his injuryclaim for additional considerationAt this time we have not received any new information or support ofhis injury claimOur claim representative continues to work with him to resolve his injury claim.Any resolution of his claims will require him to execute a Release of All Claims.I trust that this explains our handling of this claimShould you require further information, please donot hesitate to contact me.Very truly yours,

Dear *** ***:
Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. I am sorry to learn of your recent claims experience.
As you know, insurance deductibles are applied regardless of fault. Once a claim is paid, efforts are undertaken to recover the monies paid on your claim
from those responsible, including your deductible. A review of this file shows we have had many communications with the representative of the responsible party, and have received many promises of payment from them, but to date they have not honored those promises. Our efforts continue to recover this money
Although deductible reimbursements are not typically made until recovery is made, Grange Insurance Association is going to make an exception in your case, and reimburse you now in advance of the recovery. I have instructed our adjuster to issue to you your deductible reimbursement now, which you should be receiving in a few days
Again, I am sorry to learn of your experience, but appreciate you bringing this to my attention
Sincerely,
*** ***, Director of Claims

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because: What prior damage are they talking about ? And why was I told my comparable s were not valid because they came from Vancouver , Washington , which is 20 minutes away from me and their comparable s were for vehicles with major mechanical troubles from the flood zones of Louisiana ?  The current market value of these vehicles in my area is well over $6000 .00  . Mine was a "deluxe" model in GREAT condition .  These are collectible vehicles that are highly sought after , especially in the condition my vehicle was in before the accident .
And why , after I had seen my doctor and submitted the paper work was the offer rescinded for my pain ?
Yes , I would like to have the "totaled" removed from my vehicle , and I do not understand the insurance company refusal to do so . Are they afraid I could claim diminished value since that would impact the value of my vehicle ?Sincerely,[redacted]

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. Sincerely, [redacted]
I accept the response made by the business  complaint ID [redacted] that my reimbursement will be paid in a few days by mail so I expect to receive payment by check.
