Granite Asset Recovery

A representative from Granite Asset Recovery has been leaving numerous, *** messages on my phone from late 2019 until now regarding a collection for a company, which is over 10 years old, therefore, this so called outstanding amount has already been written off by the company. They're latest move, was calling and leaving messages with companies I deal with, which first of all, has nothing to do with them. I contacted the person that is still doing this, who goes by the name HONG. I asked that he send me an email with all the info regarding this account. He refused to do so and kept saying that if I don't pay it NOW, legal action will be brought against me. He is in violation of what collection agencies are NOT supposed to do: *** legal action, exposing this matter to companies I'm associated with - total *** of privacy.

I am NOT the person they are looking for, and they refuse to remove my cell# from their files. They are harrassing me with multiple calls per week, even after many times I have explained I am not the person they are seeking.

This collection is 11 years old and I'm being harassed by this company for payment as it keeps getting passed to different collection agencies. *** collections submitted a none payment against my credit and now Granite Asset Is harassing me for payment. The payment has already been removed from the credit bureau as non payment.
Now I'm being Harassed by Granite Asset Recovery.

Granite Assett keeps calling re an outstanding debt back in 2014. I have always answered their calls or call them back. They have now started calling my daughters home phone. I believe I called once when I was at her home and guess they got her number from that call. I have told them that it is illegal to contact family or friends since they have all information about my phone number and address. The first time they called my daughter she called right after and told me about the call. At that time I called and emailed the company stating that they have no business calling my family and to not call my daughters home ever again. Last night I was babysitting at my daughter home and Assett called me on my cell and I answered but could not hear anyone. I was notified that I had voice mail and as I was checking voice mail a call came in on my daughters home phone. I yelled at her telling her that they have no right calling my daughters home and that I had sent an email to them about it. She yelled that she had every right to call my daughters phone. I have also told them and sent a text to them stating that the Statute of Limitation for collecting on a debt in Ontario is 2 years.yet they continue to call.

I got a call from this company just now. Voice mail message left. Had to listen to message 4 times to get phone number etc. I called and there is a recorded message which is cut off and it doesn't give name of company and I am hung up on! Call back and someone answers I request the extension and he doesn't put me through just leaves me hanging and all I can hear is talking and laughter. Not impressed! I hung up and will not deal with them ever!

Like others I get calls from a supposed Granite Recovery - their message for someone else is always too fast to be able to jot down the number - this has been going on for a number of years - at one time I was able to contact them asking for calls to cease, which they did for some time - they have started up again in past couple of years. Can this be stopped - it cannot be for a previous number owner as I have had this number since 2006

I have been getting phone calls from their number XXX-XXX-XXXX attempting to collect from the person who previously had this number. It has been two years of calls and I have repeatedly asked them to remove my number. I offered my cell contract and my drivers license to show that I am the owner of this number. They do not stop calling.

These guys keep calling me and they need to stop. They say they need me to give them my name to figure out if I owe them or not.. but I have looked at both of my credit bureaus and I do not owe them anything. Nor have I ever done business with this company.
