I would highly recommend this company!! The customer service, installers, and the timely manner , not to mention, the quality, is just great!!! Thank you so much !! I love the new look in my kitchen and bathrooms!! You made it so easy by just being helpful in an area (remodeling) I knew nothing about!! Well, even friends and family love the make- over!! I tell everyone about this company!!!! Thanks again!!

Granite and Marble Products damaged the granite countertop they installed and apparently don't want to be responsible at this point.
Well, if what you want is an unfinished job, go with Granite and Marble Products. I recently had them install granite in my kitchen with a sink and cook top cutout. Before the granite was delivered and installed, it was cracked in front of the sink cutout. I pointed this out to the installer, (something I think he was already aware of), and he did a good job of smoothing out the area. It wasn't until after the plumbing had been reconnected and the job was paid for that I noticed the area that had been smoothed out, was now dull and not glossy anymore. Not only has this left the surface unattractive, but now the area is open to stains, as it is no longer sealed. I told Matt at Granite and Marble about this and the following Tuesday he came back to polish the area. He showed up with a soft cotton cloth and a bottle of *** car polish. Yes, you read that correctly. I will say though, he did try at getting the area polished again, but as you can imagine, it looked the same when he left as it did before he got here. Matt told me he had taken pictures of the area and would show those to Miguel, a manager at G&M. Two days later, I e-mailed Matt to ask about the granite and got no response. The next day, Friday, I called Matt and the call went to voice mail. Let me point out that up to that time, Matt had always answered his phone and always responded to a text within seconds and he would answer an e-mail message with in just a few minutes. I waited through the weekend and called G&M on the following Monday and talked to Kevin, another manager at G&M. He said Miguel was out until Wednesday and that he would have him call me on Wednesday. It's Wednesday, and I have not heard a word from Matt, Kevin or Miguel and I'm not going to beg anyone to do their job. The good part is that one day, the area on the countertop in front of the sink, will be just as beautiful as the rest of the granite without any help from anyone at G&M Products. The sad part is that there are two other people in the building where I am that are waiting to see the finished product that G&M installed. They are wanting to replace the Formica in their kitchens with granite and will want to know what I think of G&M. Oh well, maybe G&M can find two other customers to replace that lost business. It's kind of funny, but as Matt was leaving that last time he was here, he asked me to give his card to anyone and everyone. Hmmmmm, let me think about that. Currently G&M Products has a good rating with the Revdex.com, but with service like this, all I can say is, I don't see how. If you're looking for granite, just be mindful of what I've written here. Also, check out G&M's ratings on *** It's quite a different story.

Desired Outcome

The reason I'm not asking for a resolution is that at this point I don't trust the people at this business any more and I sure don't want them back in my place. They got their money and they're satisfied. Also, when you show up with a bottle of *** to polish granite, can I really believe you know what you're doing? I'll get a professional to polish the granite, thanks.

We take care of our customers and are always available to respond. Cell phones are not perfect and it is possible for miscommunication. If *** will allow us to polish the top correctly we will.
The sink area cracked in a narrow space when transporting in an elevator to *** apartment on the eighth floor. He was aware of the repair needed on this and approved the repair.
The salesman Matt did come out with the wrong type polish and did not have the equipment to polish. No one is dodging phone calls when in fact I have seen phone records by Miguel with several attempts to reach *** so we can correctly polish the repaired seam.

I cannot mark that I accept the response from Granite and Marble Products simply because the job is not complete at this point. If you are "always available to respond" to your customers, why did my e-mail on one day and my phone call the next day, go unanswered? Even days later, Matt never tried to call or e-mail back. Then when I talked to Kevin, another manager, the following Monday, there was still no reply. When you say you've "seen phone records" that prove several attempts by Miguel to contact me, neither you nor I can back that up as there has never been a voice message left by anyone from Granite and Marble on my phone. I don't answer calls from phone numbers I don't recognize. Voice messages are a very useful invention and it's just part of doing business the right way. If you had been truly interested in contacting me, you would have been successful. I'm willing to have some one from Granite and Marble back out to finish this job, but if I'm not available when they call, I would really appreciate a voice mail message so I'll know who to call back.

We were able to contact customer and have polished the area of concern and have been told that everything looks great! Person responding to the service call gave his phone number to call if there are any issues.

The area of granite in front of the sink has been very nicely polished to match the rest of the counter top and I'm satisfied with the result. Miguel did say that if I had any issues to give him a call.
