forgot that he agreed to this. We did a beautiful job on his stone, we wasn't 100% happy with the way the backplash had to be cut slightly so the stone could be fixed (which we cut free of charge to him), so we actually redid his entire backsplash free of charge. Then he complained of dust, In which I offered to send a cleaning crew out. Then he called and said our work there was done and that he was good, then he paid his bill. Then he tried to file a dispute with his credit card company saying we fraudelantly ran his credit card for the balance, which he obviously lied about, because after investigation... His credit card company sided with us. I also have the painters information [redacted], which after casual conversation found out he refused to go back to [redacted] house because he also tried to cheat the painter out of money. These tactics by [redacted] are wreckless and disrespectful, as we are just a small company trying to make a living. I am rejecting this response because:When it comes to lying and dishonest business practices, Granite Radiance takes the cake!   [redacted]’s response to my complaint is so full of lies that anyone contemplating doing business with them ought to really think twice! He promised to finish the job in two days. It took seven! During that period of time, his workers made a complete mess of my house, turning it into a dust-filled workshop that he never offered to clean up, contrary to his claim. He blamed me for not allowing his workers sufficient time to do their work, but they show up extremely late, expect you to accommodate them even on weekends, and they’ve had to replace my entire backsplash not because it was “cut slightly,” but because the job was so badly botched by inexperienced workers who didn’t know what they were doing. For the record, I never said I was “good” with the job they did. The project remained unfinished and the transaction was still in dispute when [redacted] texted me and said he’s cutting off all communications with me, and proceeded to charge my credit card without my knowledge or consent. That is when I filed a chargeback with my bank, which agreed with me that they only deserved a partial payment, and that is what they got. The bank would have given me back all of my money if I were to let them take their stone back, but that’s obviously impossible, as they had already demolished my kitchen and there was no recourse.   This whole business about how I refused to pay a certain painter is patently false and I have the paid receipts to prove it. Not only did I tip him an extra $20 for a job well-done, I had checked with his field manager to see if there were any problems. He laughed and said “That’s not Noe. He’s a minister at our church’s Spanish program, for crying out loud!” In fact, the manager himself came back to my house and performed another job a month after my horrible experience with Granite Radiance.   I can back up all of my statements with documents and nightmarish photos of my kitchen. My mistake in going with Granite Radiance was that they were the lowest bidder. You end up paying a high price going with a merchant that can’t/won’t hire competent craftsmen, relies on over-promising/under-delivery to stay in business, and then make dishonest claims about what really happened in order to appear like a victim. They WON’T live up to their promises and WILL rip you off. BUYERS BEWARE!!
