On April 6, I received an email from this customer in regards to this service he receivedIwas out of town at the time but responded that same evening stating that I would look at theservice orders and get back to him on Monday April 16, when I returned to my office.I did email him on that date as well as call him asking him to contact meMy technician uponarrival of the service call found the furnace not operatingAt that point the technician did testthe pressure switch and determined it would not closeHe did see the fresh air intake hosewas off allowing fresh air into burner box enough to keep pressure switch closedHe alsochecked condensate trap and hoseNoticed hose nipple was rotted off in burner enclosureallowing tubing just to lay in burner enclosureWe did tell him that this furnace was obsoleteand not sure if we could get partsHowever we ordered pressure switch.Returned on 3/24/to install pressure switch, It was having the same problemWould notfire unless burner door was offDue to safety reasons we do not leave the burner door off.The customer emailed me to say someone else repaired itUpon talking to him on April 11,2017, I immediately told him we would refund his moneyA check was mailed to him in theamount of $285.Our company would never condone fraud or encourage any actions of dishonesty.Economy Furnace Company Inc.Margi S [redacted] , President
