confusion ordering dock parts over the phoneThey will not take a return blaming me for their mistake Doing research online I found the parts I needed for my dockI called the manufacturer who referred me to the distributorThe distributor referred me to the retailer Granite State Dock and MarineI called and gave them the part numbers for what I neededThe parts (leg frame braces for my dock) are sold in pairsI told them I needed a pair of 22" braces and a pair of 15" bracesWhen I went to pick up my parts they had two pairs of eachThey would not take return of the extra unneeded parts and blamed me for their mistakeI think if the guy ordering the parts looked up what I needed he would have seen that they were sold as a pair and would not have ordered of eachThey did not even as if I would be willing to pay for shipping to returnBlamed the whole thing on mevery poor customer service

I gave a deposit for a gangway to be builtCompany has not built the gangway in promised time and refused to refund deposit Deposit was put down for a gangwayI was told the process takes two weeks It has now been weeks and he has not started building it yetI have called him several times and he will not give me an answer of when the material will arrive so that it can be builtMy final call to him was asking him to refund my deposit, which he then stated was nonrefundableI was never told this prior to payment and never received this in writingIt is not stated on my receipt that this deposit in nonrefundableHe then told me he was stressed out and that it has been a long day I told him it was not my problem that he was stressed out He told me it was my problem now and hung up on me

Boat went into the shop on 8/for a diagnosis of problemsWhen I picked up the boat on 8/it was clear that there was no diagnosis performed I went in for a diagnostic of my boat on 8/5/17, for several small items including the tilt motor not workingTold me it would be two days after several calls started work on it a week and a half laterScott called me and told me to come in and that he would go over everything when I came in I came in, he charged me $and rushed me out and handed me the so called "diagnosis"The diagnosis just stated "tilt motor does not work"When I got home I called them back up realizing that no diagnosis had been done that I paid forExamining the boat, there was no evidence that any test, diagnosis had been attemptedWhen I called back I asked them if they could tell me what they tested and to provide the actual diagnosis they charged me $forThey were unable to provide any information and did not know anything and it was clear that no w

Have a contract to buy and deposit accepted by Seller for a very specific boat When I questioned trailer cost and delivery fees, owner [redacted] , took offense and now refuses to sell me the boat, stating "we don't do business with people that dont trust us or question our integrity." The issue/question was raised on price of trailer and delivery chargesI have no issue with price of boat as agreed toHe wont sell it to me nowStating it is no longer for sale, and then he is keeping it for himselfI think he may be getting a better price and does not want to honor the agreement with me for less I tried to politely and professionally reason with him, but he refuses to talk about itI have been a Realtor for years, I know how business is done It is every consumers right to question changes in pricing

I had delivered my 22' Rubalo outboard to Granite State Dock & Marine with expectations that my Johnson motor would be repairedThey were recommended by another Marine repair shop because Granite State had a mechanic who was knowledgeable enough to figure out why the motor would not startThe owner stated to me that the motor was difficult because it was a "Fick" motor but he would take a look at it and see what is going onApproximately week later, the owner called my home and left a voice mail stating, "We're not getting anywhere with this THING so we're gonna PULL THE PLUG, come pick it up and good luck." The mechanic at this shop did tell me that he had almost figured out what was wrong but the owner was insistent to stop the project anywayI was billed $for the hours of labor

We just bought our boat from Granite State Dock & Marine and are extremely happyWe dealt with Scott, who was very helpful, took the time to help us understand our options, and helped us pick the best fit boat for usWe're very excited to get the boating season off to a great startIt was a very relaxed atmosphere and this was the fourth time we've purchased a boat but first with Granite StateWe've visited other boat dealers and they were not as helpful or understanding of what we wantedWe've already recommended Granite State Dock & Marine to others
