Interestingly, in Granite Tech’s response, there was NO mention of the concerns about the lack of book match with this installation The company prefers to focus attention on the small shelf that was verbally agreed to outside of the contract - rather than address the real reason for this complaint GT did not have the professional courtesy of checking the finished installation and addressing the concerns Below are supportive facts regarding this complaintFact: The property, owned by a family member, was undergoing restoration due to water damage I agreed to handle the restoration on behalf of the family member and because I was purchasing the property with a closing date in March At the time of deposit, the owner of record properly signed the contract and provided a deposit of 50% I paid the balance of the invoice at the time of installation, and the owner of record was reimbursed This contract with Granite Tech had absolutely nothing to do with the homeowner’s insurance claim Copy of check attachedFact: The high back splash was not free The invoice being attached hereto clearly shows a handwritten addition of $for the back splash I did not know about this additional amount until the installer presented me with the invoice In good faith, I paid the entire invoice without questionFact: I insisted on nothing as suggested in GT’s response That is patently false! The only add on was the small shelf outside of the contract and that was strictly verbally agreed to.Fact: To ensure I was not being unreasonable, I asked another professional fabricator to visit, check the installation and provide a professional opinion That opinion supported my concern that the cutting was not book matched with the end result being unsatisfactory

Interestingly, in Granite Tech’s response, there was NO mention of the concerns about the lack of book match with this installation.  The company prefers to focus attention on the small shelf that was verbally agreed to outside of the contract - rather than address the real reason for this complaint.  GT did not have the professional courtesy of checking the finished installation and addressing the concerns.  Below are supportive facts regarding this complaint. Fact:  The property, owned by a family member, was undergoing restoration due to water damage.  I agreed to handle the restoration on behalf of the family member and because I was purchasing the property with a closing date in March.  At the time of deposit, the owner of record properly signed the contract and provided a deposit of 50%.  I paid the balance of the invoice at the time of installation, and the owner of record was reimbursed.  This contract with Granite Tech had absolutely nothing to do with the homeowner’s insurance claim.  Copy of check attached. Fact:  The high back splash was not free.  The invoice being attached hereto clearly shows a handwritten addition of $150 for the back splash.   I did not know about this additional amount until the installer presented me with the invoice.  In good faith, I paid the entire invoice without question. Fact:  I insisted on nothing as suggested in GT’s response.  That is patently false!  The only add on was the small shelf outside of the contract and that was strictly verbally agreed to.Fact:  To ensure I was not being unreasonable, I asked another professional fabricator to visit, check the installation and provide a professional opinion.  That opinion supported my concern that the cutting was not book matched with the end result being unsatisfactory.

of template.  I did tell the renter [redacted] before install we could not due all the add on due to not enough material. We could possibly add a small top on pony wall in the future if Creama Bordeaux became available to us. As of today Creama Bordeaux does NOT have book match available at any of my suppliers in the state of Arizona. [redacted] emailed insisting I purchase a small piece from another granite shop and fabricate it for her and install it.  This was an after thought and due to no material and it was never in the contact. [redacted] forgot to mention we gave the home owner extra high back splash under window around water area for free, due to the insurance claim for water damage did not cover the extra amount. This was an insurance claim due to water damage, the homeowner was a referral and needed to save money and wanted granite not laminate. I feel we have done everything Granite Tech LLC can do. [redacted] is lying about the $150.00 and I feel she is using you guys for a way of harassment. Again the contract was NOT with [redacted]. She was not the homeowner at the time of install. Arizona contractors boards says sign contract has to be with homeowner. We never got any complaints from the prior  homeowner. We have been in business since 2009 and this is the first time you guys have contacted us on behalf of someone who has threaten to close us down. Granite Tech L.L.C. does not advertise, all word of mouth. Due what you need to, to resolve this issue [redacted] has created. Fact:  To ensure I was not being unreasonable, I asked another professional fabricator to visit, check the installation and provide a professional opinion.  That opinion supported my concern that the cutting was not book matched with the end result being unsatisfactory.
