refused to let us install the counters that she had chosen.  Because she wanted us to extended her existing counter we had removed her old counter and sink in preparation for the new counter.  I knew it could be 2 weeks before we could get another color counter out to her house so I thought that if the customer wanted,  we would do a custom color Full backsplash for her at no cost (would have been over $1400) in order to resolve this issue.  The customer agreed and I told her it would be best for her to come to our showroom to look at backsplash options.  WE NEVER told her we would be unwilling to come to her home to go over backsplash options or colors.  She then came into our showroom and we had prepared some options for her to look at, she agreed on a custom backsplash color and we ordered it and go it in.  We got in this custom color backsplash specifically for her, built it and cut it specially for her outlets.  We scheduled with her for us to come out and install these FULL backsplashes.   When the installers came out to install she said she refused it saying it was the wrong color.  We checked the sample that she agreed to and what was sent out and it was correct.   I called her and she started blaming our showroom person for not showing her more colors and not putting more white in it because she had white appliances and such and I explained that we had done exactly what she requested.  She then left a message at the office saying that if we took off the final $1372 payment that she and her husband would call  it even.  I Had an additional $1000 in material and labor in this job with the custom back splash that SHE AGREED to and now she is asking me to call $2500 as a total payment for a $3872 job.  I called and talk to her husband and we agreed on $500 instead of the $1372 as the final payment.  We agreed to this and he told me he would have his wife call me with a credit card for the final payment.  Well I never received a phone call for the $500 payment and left messages over the next 5 days asking for them to call me to finalized the agreed upon payment.  They would not even return my phone call, so I left a message that I had been trying to get ahold of them to resolve this issue and if they wouldn't call me back I would just lien their home for the final amount due.  They called the next day made the $500 payment.  During this entire time I have tried to work with this customer to resolve this issue in the most professional way possible, each time the customer has blamed someone else for the decisions that she made on these counters and back splashes.  They received almost a $900 discount for this issue and I'm stuck with $1000 worth of useless product.  Not sure what can be done this.
