RE: Case # [redacted]
We received this complaint letter and to answer this I will present the situation as we know it.
We purchased the 2003 Jaguar from Indiana...

Auto Auction with 112,000 miles sold to us with a ride and drive on April 21, 2016 after driving same to be sure the car checked out ok. Car was sold to [redacted] after he test drove the car on May 18, 2016 which he brought back the next day for the light repair. Light problem was caused by someone installing wrong light bulbs & fuses which caused an electrical system failure. There was no way to tell if this was done before or after sale to [redacted]. Repair cost us over [redacted] for diagnostic analysis. Now 8 months later customer has a laundry list of complaints. We do not know how he drove the car but most young people hot rod performance cars that can cause a lot of problems.
Thank you.

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 9, 2017/01/30) */
There was no hot rodding. The bulbs went out down the road from originally picking vehicle up. They had vehicle for two weeks or so. I have filed a complaint with the Indiana attorney general office. There are also some complaints from other buyers via Facebook as well as previous employee. There are extensive repairs that keep piling up. The transmission is fault and will not shift. The loan company also stated to contact t the Indiana attorney general office. I have all receipts of repairs both completed and can't do as bolts and such are seized.
Thank you

I am not sure how to send an update, but I will try it through this e-mail that contains the case number.
On or around the 21st of February, 2017, [redacted] of Auto House, contacted me via phone. He said he would have the transmission looked at and fixed. We had towing on our insurance and we were able to get the 203 Jaguar towed to where he stated. They in turn, looked over the tranmission and then proceeded to have it taken to a transmission shop. We got the vehicle back on the 1st of March, 2017. Upon driving the vehicle, the check engien light was not on and the transmission fault was gone. It has now been two days and I wanted to state that given the time between purchasing and the issues developing, Auto House have made the major issue good. I want to state that he did make the issue right and that it is running very well.
Thank you

I was unhappy with my experience with Auto House. I signed a sales agreement to purchase a car without a down payment. [redacted] called the next day and left a voice mail message on my phone stating that the car was no longer available. I called Auto House the next day and left a voice mail message with the owner, [redacted], inquiring why the car was no longer available. No one ever got back with me on why the car was no longer available. I could understand if the reason for the car no longer being available was because someone offered a higher price. But it is only common courtesy and good customer service to provide a response to your customers. Though Auto House was within their rights not to sell me the car, their handling of the situation was not good business practice. Because of this experience, I do not want to have any business dealings with this company nor recommend anyone to do business with them.
