he doesn't use that part of yard. We then began to proceed to remove trees & overgrowth that was encouchingon the driveway/parking area. All debris & overgrowth was dumped in same designated area as approved by [redacted]. We then proceeded to install covert pipe & 2 re tension ponds before & after covert pipe. Once that was done we trucked in 3/4" process stone to begin grading off driveway. We compacted stone in 4" lifts with a 2 1/2 ton vibratory roller until final grade was reached. At that time [redacted] wanted to make parking area larger thAn discussed in original contract so I told him there would be an additional cost for material to be trucked in & he agreed upon it. Review: I contracted with Grant's llc for driveway drainage and excavation work. Frank asked for a $2000 deposit up front, which was paid. I was told the work would begin the following week. He then proceeded to avoid communication when he could and broke several promises he made about delayed start dates. Ultimately, he did not show up to do the work until over two months later. When he did the work, he said I had to pay him additional money beyond what we had agreed upon in order for him to complete the job as we had originally agreed. Despite raising the price, Frank still did not achieve the driveway grading results he had promised, created new drainage issues, and did not clean up the worksite. The job was promised to be done in November, but was not done until the end of January. The ground was consequently frozen, and thus Frank had to leave large frozen chunks of earth piled up near the driveway rather than breaking up the excavated material and smoothing it out. I was also told that a small tree which was excavated would be broken up, which it was not. The result is a very unfinished look for a rather expensive driveway job. Snow fell three days after the completion of the job and the ground was continuously covered until spring. I contacted Frank to discuss my concerns. He said he would come over to view and discuss the problems, but did not show up and has ignored three phone calls since.Desired Settlement: I would like Frank to level the grade of the part of the driveway that was originally promised and smooth out the excavation debris that was left.
