Regarding the complaint made by [redacted] , our response is as follows: First and foremost, this patient has never contacted us directly to discuss any problems pertaining to his glassesTo clarify, the glasses were not made by us, they were made by another companyThey could have been made incorrectly which could be causing these issues; it may not be the prescription itselfWe would not know this unless we were able to analyze the lensesMost of the time, glasses come with a warranty unless they were ordered onlineIf the lenses were made incorrectly, the manufacturer should redo them with the correct parametersIf it is the prescription, it could have changed since we saw him in 2012, it typically doesIf the glasses were made shortly after his exam and we would have been notified that the glasses were not working, we would have suggested he make a prescription re-check appointment (at no charge to him) within months of his original examinationIf it was outside of the day guideline, the doctor would have performed a refraction which is covered by his insuranceHad he contacted us, we would have made these suggestionsAt this appointment we would have made sure the lenses were made correctly by his chosen manufacturer as well as re-evaluated his prescriptionThen he could have the lenses re-made by the party that made them with any and all changes that the doctor may have diagnosedThe terms and conditions of the redo would have been outlined by the business he chose to make his glasses if anyAgain, the patient never contacted usThis is the first we are heating it lodge this complaintThis appointment would have not fallen under his insurance guidelines so that information is not correct We can’t correct something that was not brought to our attention to begin with our merchandise that wasn’t purchased or supplied by our companyMr [redacted] was not happy with his original services conducted here at our office on his original date of service 8/31/Complaint was received, monies were refunded for the services he felt were not conducted properlyOur apologies were conveyedWe have not been contracted by him againIf we had, we would have done our best to resolve the issue just as we had before by suggesting he follows the steps outlined aboveHowever, this complaint is unnecessary and unjustified and to call us Crap Valley Eyecare in the complaint is just plain childish There is no resolution we can offer as no product was supplied by our office, no money exchanged hands so there would be no ability for a refund and his prescription for this service conducted in has expired by his state guidelinesI think it is safe to say that this patient won’t be returning to our office and we think its best that way as well Sincerely, [redacted] Office Manager
