Terrible Lawn Service
I hired Grasshopper Lawn service in summer 2020. They came and fertilized in fall no problem. I asked for aeration services in Spring to boost lawnas it did need help. They came and seeded with aeration for $445! Not once was I told that this would cost soooo much and this is when I still recovering from pandemic and being furloughed for three months. My son passed away suddenly April 19th, my family was at my home after my sons services. My brother and my son were mortified at how bad my lawn looked. The seed they planted was not grass seed because my lawn is loaded with little white flowers everywhere in which I had NEVER had this problem before.
I paid half the bill and I do not plan on paying Grasshopper anything else. We can go to court I don't care. You wrecked my lawn!

Let's address the fact that Mrs. [redacted] is NOT a customer of Grasshopper Lawns. Our crew members were servicing a property next door. Not once were the crew members on Mrs. [redacted] property as she has claimed. Grasshopper Lawn is fully insured and will cover all damages caused by our company....

Review: Over the course of June, July and August I hired the services of Grasshopper Lawns to do basic lawn mowing for their standard $24.95 per week which was put on my credit card within 24 hours of service. I began to notice that the weed-eating around the ground cover had chunks of grass missing and even edging on the sidewalks had lost their clean look. By August, my yard was appalling and looked like big dead spots of grass were also appearing. I called the end of August to discontinue the service and on September 11, 2014 I sent a certified letter with photos attached to display the actual damage which had been done while doing my lawn service. There was no answer back from Grasshopper Lawns. I waited about a week and called to see why I had not received a reply. No apology was given and no one in charge has yet to reply to my letter or my phone call. This is completely unacceptable!!!!Desired Settlement: I would like their service to do their best to repair the damage to my lawn even if it takes installing new sod. Worst case scenario, refund what I paid them for services and I will hire a landscaping company to come in and do what they can to fix the damage.

Review: Signed up for service, pre-paid for 3 months and the "sign-up fee" then they only came out twice. I called to find out why and they said they were no longer serving my area. I asked for a full refund of the entire amount I paid and they agreed. That has been 2 months ago now. I continue to call but no one will return any phone calls. I stayed on the phone today and finally was told I was going to get a refund for half of what I paid. I informed them that that was not acceptable and that I would only accept the amount we had previously agreed upon. I asked for the supervisors name and was told they don't give out that information. ShadyDesired Settlement: Refund the full amount that I paid in good faith last February. $87.85

Review: I contracted with Grasshopper Lawns February 24, 2016 for garbage collections services. I paid a $25 set up fee and $75 for (3) months service to start on or about 3/1/2016. Grasshopper Lawns performed

(3) total collections on 3/3/2016, 3/7/2016 and 3/10/2016. On Sunday 3/13/2016 Grasshopper Lawns sent their representative to my house to retrieve their rolling dumpster advising that they would no long be collecting in the Bush, LA area. Grasshopper Lawns subsequently charged to my credit card $7.95. This charge was not authorized and was subsequently withdrawn. I have asked that my $75 be refunded as Grasshopper Lawns breached the contract for services. To date they have failed to refund my money.Desired Settlement: I wish to have my $75 refunded.

Review: On 5/4/16 I received an invoice from Grasshoppers in the amount of $31.95 for service on my home dated 4/30/16. I called the business to let them know that my grass was not cut on 4/30/16 as the invoice stated and was told the matter would be investigated. I sent them 2 emails regarding the matter and also told them that it rained extremely hard on Saturday 4/30 and the company was on a "rain delay". I called back twice on the morning of 5/5/16. I was told that the invoice was for the wrong address. I told them that my credit card had already been charged and I had filed a dispute with my credit card company. I was informed that the charge would stand on my credit card and I would be given and "internal credit" for my next service which should be on about May 12th.

I informed Grasshoppers I was not in agreement with this and would like a charge credit back to my credit card. They told me that by time the credit hits my credit card account my next service would be coming up. I am in disagrement with this policy. I did not receive the service on 4/30 and should not have to pay for it. This is not in my estimate a good business practice.Desired Settlement: I want the amount of $31.95 credited back to my credit card account. There is no guarantee that the company will give me their "internal credit".

Review: Breech of agreement for lawn service. Did a prepay for a year of lawn service in response to email that offered a 10% discount but did not indicate any penalty for early cancellation. However GH breached the agreement initially by stopping the discount prior to all cuts being executed. Additionally contacting this company has been a Challenge with getting them to contact you back. When I talked about cancelling the remaining service (2 cuts essentially) I was NOT informed of a penalty for early termination and the GH EMPLOYEE told me she would refund the money to me. After not receiving refund called again. That Employee said would get with accounting to give me refund. Still have not received, today spoke with someone and they told me since I cancelled the service I was not entitled to refund as there is a penalty for early cancellation even though they did the breech initially. Since it was offered to be fixed and I still cancelled and THEIR employee was mistakenly informed of GH procedures to refund my money I lose the credit balance on my account.Desired Settlement: Refund my remaining credit balance since it was NOT indicated in the email sent last year there is a penalty for early cancellation. Additionally since two of GH employees have told me I am getting refund they should honor their employee's mistakes for misleading me and not telling me of this penalty nor was it in writing with me. The fact it has taken almost 2 months to get the info I am not getting refund is not customer friendly. That should have been said the day I talked to them in Feb.

Review: After Grasshopper's not cutting my grass for two weeks, I checked my credit card statement and noticed I had been charged for both cuts. I called multiple times, e-mailed, and used the website to try and contact them. This lasted for about a week. Once I finally reached someone, I was told no one would be able to cut my grass for at least another week. I decided to cancel and they told me they could refund one and then use the other cut towards the next cut. I again stated I wanted to cancel and the agent agreed to refund both cuts and cancel. Since then all communication has been cut off, I have had my grass cut 3 days apart and I never got my refund.Desired Settlement: All I want is for someone to contact me and then to stop charging me.
