Grasshoppers

Grasshoppers recently removed a very large Oak tree from my yard which was close to my home. I had gotten several estimates for this job and Grasshoppers was the best price. I was very impressed with the crew that cut my tree. They were very professional, cautious and worked hard to protect my home and property. They removed the tree, stump and then seeded the area that was involved. Even some of my neighbors have commented on what a nice job they did. I would highly recommend Grasshoppers!

My next door neighbor had a tree removed by Grasshoppers on April 6th, 2018. On the morning of, the crew asked if they could use part of my driveway to facilitate removal of the tree. Upon verbal agreement, they proceeded to complete the job using my driveway. Following inspection of my driveway on the day of and following, multiple large cracks had developed from their heavy equipment. I contacted the company and they apologized, were surprised no one had gotten a liability waiver from me, and told me they would send a driveway specialist to evaluation the damage. A few weeks later, a man came and inspected the damage and said he would send Grasshoppers his quote. It has now been 10 weeks since this gentleman inspected the damage. I have contacted grasshoppers at least 4 times since. I have been told they would "call me tomorrow" and no calls have been received. After finally calling them again today, I was told "the driveway specialist is on vacation next week, but he'd see if it could be done still next week". I spoke to a man who sounded like the owner of the company today who was exceedingly rude, unprofessional, and immature. I asked if he knew what day the repair would occur next week, as I was told Grasshoppers, Inc. would give me this information. He promptly told me I should ask the driveway specialist. He explained it was costing his company $5000 to fix my driveway and my driveway was already not in the best shape. I explained to him that his company had indeed caused significant damage, it was his responsibility to fix the damage, and there was no excuse for the repair to take longer than 3 months now. He proceeded to then say he wasn't going to argue and then hung up the phone on me. I have never dealt with such an unprofessional business and workers. There is no accountability or customer courtesy. I'm willing to reason they company has been dragging its feet in hopes I would give up my pursuit for repairs to save them the money.

Today, Grass Hoppers removed an extremely large oak tree that was hanging over our house -which is on a busy street. They had a crane, stump grinder, and all that kind of equipment. They took extra care on our driveway and yard. I was so impressed that they did such a great job and even cleaned up when they were finished. We didn't have to do a thing. They gave us the best quote, too. I highly recommend Grass Hoppers.
