Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:  If we had kyllinga back in 2011, why was it never mentioned to us, and more importantly, why was it not treated.  The first time we ever heard of this as being a problem was October 2013 when I complained about how bad the yard looked.  [redacted] had sprayed a few days prior and when the lawn turned brown, I called him and he stated it was nutsedge and not to worry, because the grass would be green again in the spring.  I took that to mean that he would do whatever was necessary to get rid of the weed since he was our total lawn care provider.  At that time, the bad area was only about 10'x10' and it did not seem to be that big a deal if treated properly in the spring.  Well, now I find out that Grasso did absolutely nothing to rid us of this weed as he admits in his email to me.  And please, do not compare this to zoysia or bermuda grass because they are in fact a grass, where kyllinga is a weed and should have been disposed of properly in the spring.  Unfortunately, now, our entire back lawn has gone brown because nothing was done to control the problem when it first developed.  Since terminating our business relationship with Grasso, I have learned there are several treatments for kyllinga and if treated timely and properly it can be eliminated, however, if left untreated, it spreads like wildfire in the spring as was the case in our situation. Now, unfortunately, we are looking at the possibility of removing our entire back yard lawn and a minimum of 2" of dirt and replacing the same amount with topsoil and turf.   As far as recommending him, that is not true.  My neighbor knew that we used Grasso and went with the company on their own.  I recently mentioned to that neighbor that had they asked me, I would have told them of several issues we have personally had with Grasso in the past not to mention that Grasso Landscaping was recently cited in our township for illegal dumping.  Illegal dumping cost me money, my neighbors money and it is wrong!

[redacted] terminated our gentleman's agreement to cut his lawn back on October 17th. He was a customer of ours for the last 2years and the reason he terminated our agreement is because we came when his children were sleeping and when we started the season he told me his wife was very strict...

about the days we come to mow as well as the time and I told Mr. [redacted] I will try my best to cut your lawn in the mornings before your children take afternoon naps but I also mentioned to him if we get off track due to unforeseen equipment issues or weather conditions it will not always be possible to come before the afternoon. Mr. [redacted] said to try my best and put him on the schedule so that is what I did. On October 17th Mr. [redacted] cancelled our maintenance agreement because we woke his kids up and I told him we had equipment issues that day and that is why we were out there in the afternoon and we needed to do his property that day because the next several day we will be in a different town. Mr. [redacted] did not want to hear that so he cancelled my service and told me to send the last Invoice to him and he would get me paid. I sent out the final invoice to him (2)days later on October 19th and waited for payment. October went by and November rolled around and Mr. [redacted] actually called me and said he would like me to blow his sprinklers out and I told him I would not be doing them at that time and I also discussed with him his OVERDUE balance from last month and he told me to send him another Invoice and he would get me paid. I sent Mr. [redacted] a (2nd) Invoice showing his outstanding balance from last month and still did not hear from him. December came around and I called Mr. [redacted] approximately (5)times during the month of December (before Christmas) in hopes of closing his balance out before the Holidays. Mr. [redacted] never answered the phone to which I left a voicemail every time. NEVER did I ever leave a threatening voicemail. I waited until after the New Year to contact Mr. [redacted] again on 1/4/2016; (3months after he terminated our agreement and still has not paid). I called Mr. [redacted] on this date 1/4/2016 and Mr. [redacted] stated he had company over and was displeased with out services throughout 2015 and that he was not going to pay me until I repaired his concrete and said he was going to send me an Invoice of the damage. This was the first time I EVER heard of there being damage done to his concrete sidewalk which was cracked at almost every angle possible way before we even stepped foot on his property. I believe Mr. [redacted] was using this as a scapegoat to cover up his unwillingness to pay me for services rendered. I was NEVER provided even up until this day an Invoice for concrete repair. After waiting long enough to be paid I resorted to stopping over his house and speaking to him face to face on 1/9/16. I discussed with him that he was OVERDUE from (3months)ago and I wanted to pick up a check at that moment in time and he slammed the door in my face. I then knocked on the door again until he answered and that is when Mr. [redacted] and I had some words back and forth and again he slammed the door in my face. I then proceeded to call the local police department because I didn't want anything to get out of hand because at this time I was extremely frustrated and I wanted my money for services rendered. The police arrived at Mr. [redacted]'s address [redacted].) and as soon as the police were out front of the house, only then did Mr. [redacted]'s wife pay me the balance owed from October in CASH with a reluctant and disgusted look on her face. She then was screaming while the officer was at her house saying "I paid him CASH I want a receipt!!" I then produced a receipt and handed in to Miss [redacted] and we went our separate ways. I have been in business since 2007 and I always keep a professional appearance with all of my accounts.
