Review: I hired [redacted]to represent me signing a retainer for $2,500 on October [redacted]. He sat on my case for 3 weeks with no progress when he originally claimed he could handle the case in one week. Each time I tried to contact him to check on progress, his hasty response was always the same, that he should have something in a week. On October **I expressed my dissatisfaction due to his lack of progress on the case and lack of communication at which point he said he would look at hours of work performed and refund monies. [redacted] tried to say he had a surgury as an explanation to his absence but that doesn't explain 3 weeks of absolutley no progress on the case.As of December [redacted] he continues stonewalling any sort of refund process and has never once delivered an invoice. I then hired another lawyer who made a call and sorted out the case in literally one day and even stated that based in his conversation with the DA, he did not think [redacted] ever made any contacts. [redacted] also never had any information on the case to inform me of although in just one day the new lawyer gave me a complete overview of what to expect and four days later we went to court and the case was resolved.I am filing a complaint against [redacted]for lack of services, failure to communicate, failure to provide a breakdown of services rendered (because there were none) and for failure to refund monies.Desired Settlement: [redacted] owes me a full refund of $2,500 minus any monies he claims are due to him for services rendered which must be accompanied by a detailed invoice to justify any claims of services rendered.

Attorney received surgery and was out of the office for an extended period of time. However, work was performed on client's case, including, phone calls to District Attorney's Office in an attempt to negotiate case on client's behalf. Full refund to be paid to client.
