So CYC is stating that there was no need to check front sprinklers because there was no work done in the front yard? This logic is flawed The front sprinklers are still a part of the entire irrigation system as a whole, which was worked onAlso, there is absolutely no evidence to show that the wires where cut during the pool dig as claimedIf there were, we wouldn't be having this discussionThat's the essence to the problem here...lack of proper irrigation system testing before and after work was doneIf you entirely re-work part of a system, and another part stops working, you can't just throw your hands in the air and claim that you have no responsibility of getting everything working the way it was originally

CYC Landscaping did provide backyard landscaping for Mr***, but only after had had a pool dug and installed by another company. Since CYC Landscaping performed no work in his front yard we had no reason to check his irrigation system in the front yardAfter our project was completed Mr
*** had multiple concerns about his sod, we sent a service technician out to his residence multiple times and he spend multiple hours diagnosing the issue. It was determined that the wires between his controller and valves for his front yard were run through his back yard. Mr*** insisted that was not the case and his landscaper who did the work several years earlier remembered running them around the front. Chris, the owner of CYC Landscaping, personally went to his house and spent hours digging up his yard to show the customer that the wires did in fact go around the back right where the pool was installed. CYC Landscaping offered and even installed new wire above ground to get his system working while we determined the cause of the problem. Chris offered our crew to go out and trench for the new wire at cost, but since it would take an entire day to rectify and was not an issue caused by CYC Landscaping we could not complete the work for free Chris sent Mr*** an email detailing the issues and offering solutions and he never heard back from him, until todayWe have all email correspondencesIf you need anything from us, please let me know and I’ll be happy to get it to you Thank you, Mandie M*** Office Manager CYC Landscaping

I have attached documents for you to review: 1) A drawing of the yard showing the location of the time clock and the valves he is having a problem with 2) A picture of the yard showing the electrical line that was installed by the pool company (you will notice that the trench runs right through where the wire would run if it ran around the back yard) 3) A picture of the pool before we started work (you will notice that the pool goes almost the entire way from the patio to the back wall right where the wire would run) While we were working in Mr ***s yard we installed new irrigation for his back yard. While doing that, we determined that the wires that ran to his back yard valves were completely destroyed by the pool being dug. We ran new wire for his back irrigation at no charge in an attempt to provide good customer service. We, like Mr *** and his previous landscaper, assumed the wire to his valves ran around the front yard since it was a shorter distance and would avoid having to go under his driveway. I will admit that we could have tested the front valves for him, but if we did test them we would have given him a bid for the repair. We would not have done it for free. My bid, would have been approximately $400, that would include $for wire and $in labor to install the wire. We have already provided the wire at no charge to Mr*** and offered to do the labor at my cost, which would have been about $150. I feel that my offer was very generous, especially considering it is very clear that the wire was most likely cut in the act of installing the pool Sincerely, Chris W*** Owner, CYC Landscaping

So CYC is stating that there was no need to check front sprinklers because there was no work done in the front yard? This logic is flawed.  The front sprinklers are still a part of the entire irrigation system as a whole, which was worked on. Also, there is absolutely no evidence to show that the wires where cut during the pool dig as claimed. If there were, we wouldn't be having this discussion. That's the essence to the problem here...lack of proper irrigation system testing before and after work was done. If you entirely re-work part of a system, and another part stops working, you can't just throw your hands in the air and claim that you have no responsibility of getting everything working the way it was originally.
