Charged for a service and told time of completion. The completion time was no where near met and yet they are still asking for full payment.
I was quote a job for tree removal and clean up for $3600 on 8/20/19. I was given a start date and clean hour time frame in which the job would be done. This was provided to me by their sales rep, ***. It stated that removal would be 48-72 hours after trees were cut. The cutting was completed and trees stacked in my side yard waiting for removal. After 72hrs came and went, I had to constantly call to have trees removed. No one would return my calls or tell me when a crew would come out. After speaking with a crew chief, he tried to state that someone came to our house and rang the door bell but no one answered. This same day, I was told the removal could not happen because a truck was blocking them from fully getting in the drive-way. This information was stated to me was false. First point of this is, I have a doorbell camera and motion censor which never went off that day. Second point to this false statement is I was home all day doing yard work in the backyard. My wife was also inside, cleaning. So a week later (8/27/2019), after the trees were cut, Grey's Tree Service finally came to clean up their mess. After clean up, I am now looking and severally shocked grass that could be dead, oil and dirt stains that are on my drive way. Trying to get assistance with making my property back the way they found it, I received no response. I called multiple times asking how they were going to fix my damages and yet never received any correspondence. As a customer, my time and resources were now put into restoring my property to it's original condition.
After all this occurred, I am still receiving an invoice for $3600 for their services. The job took longer then stated and neglect to my property and time was not considered in their business practice. I believe this job was not done in good faith and looking for compensation for their neglect to my time and property.

Desired Outcome

I wish to have the bill altered due to their lack of upholding their time frame and neglect to my property.

We apologize that this customer is unhappy with our work. In response to the cleanup of his job: The documents that our salesmen provide (you have a copy attached to the complaint) state that cleanup is "Usually" within 48-72 hours. There are always extenuating circumstances that can delay this process. We have no control over weather, equipment breakdown, operator illness, etc. That is why we state that it is "Usually" in that time frame. We do not guarantee when the debris will be cleaned up. We work to try get it up in a timely matter but again some things are out of our control. We completed the cutting portion of the customers job on 08/20/2019. We had a driver at their residence on 08/22/2019 well within the 72 hours, but he was unable to get into the driveway with the truck that he was in. It was too large to clear the driveway. We sent a driver back on Sunday 08/25/2019 but he was unable to get to the debris because a vehicle was in the way. I have attached a copy of our GPS report showing that the driver was there for 20 minutes. I don't know why the customers doorbell didn't alert him that someone was there, but our driver rang the doorbell and stayed waiting to see if anyone would come to the door or come home before he continued with his day. He said it was apparent that someone was home, but they would not answer the door. The debris was removed on 08/27/2019. As to the damage to the driveway: We have been in contact many times with Mr. and it was only on 09/09/2019 that he mentioned the stains on the driveway. He stated that he had already taken care of them. We would have taken care of this had he contacted us with that information. The only complaint he made was in regard to his grass that had turned yellow from where the debris was sitting. The grass had been inspected on 08/29/2019 and found to be discolored. On 09/05/2019 we returned to find that the grass was indeed beginning to green back up and look healthy again. On 09/06/2019 we went back and put a light fertilizer on the grass to ensure its continued health. Through the entire process we have communicated with Mr. and it was only after he was emailed an invoice that his demeanor changed. We completed the work that was agreed upon and we have done what was needed to rectify the issues in his yard. Therefore, we see no reason that the services performed should not be paid in the amount that was agreed upon by the customer.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
After reading the response, I am mind blown by the statements made of communication. Not once have they stayed in contact to inform me of their follow ups to remove their trees. As a customer, I had to call repeatedly to ask about removal and when they were coming. When they say someone came on the 8/22/19, why was the truck unable to retrieve the load? If the removal was an issue due to driveway, the trees should of been place in a different position/spot. The date of 8/22, the drive way was clear and should of been accessible. If a boom truck can fit, then a grapple truck should be able to as well. On the date of 8/25/19, no person or persons visited our front door to discuss driveway access. Speaking with our security company, the camera was active and functioning along with the motion detection. The security company did not pull any motion detection during the hours of 12am thru 12pm on 8/25/19. Along with this, my wife and I were home during this time. If the GPS is correct, then their people proceeded to speak to an incorrect house and that incompetence is on them. As far as grass and driveway complaints, I became agitated after inquiry about the damages and receiving no call back. No one instructed me they visited my property to look at my grass and assess the damages. No one reached out to discuss next steps or their findings when "visiting" my property. Coming by to lay fertilizer on my yard is false. Again, not one comment was made to me nor physical identification of product being laid/sprayed was visible. The oil stains in the driveway was expressed from day one of the grass complaint. The driveway was handled by myself due to the "no follow-up" from Grays. The lack of communication is exemplified by the delayed response to this complaint.

Again, we apologize that the consumer is unhappy with our services. We did everything that we were contracted to do and worked to try and resolve the issues that we were made aware of. I have attached a picture of what the grass looks like now. We have applied a $500.00 discount to the customers invoice in hopes that this will resolve the matter. I will email the updated invoice to the consumer once I receive a reply that he is in agreement with the discount.

Worst company! They fraudulently billed for work that was not performed and unresponsive to request to make it right. They are not to be trusted. Would never recommend this company.

No follow through. Do not pay for tree service until they have removed ALL the tree debris. They will try to tell you it will be gone in 48 hours and get your money when the cutting crew leaves, but it has been over 72 hours and they have my money and won't return my calls. I now have 250 Sq ft of lawn dying and getting part of my lawn back was the reason for having them do the work, but I'm losing more because of them.

I hired Gray's two separate times. One to cut and remove some overgrown tress on my property, and one to replace the roof on my house. They did a great job with both. After both jobs, they cleaned up very well. They kept to their estimates and they performed the work completely on schedule. I would highly recommend them.

Worst customer service ever. Three no shows & not one courtesy call. Rude receptionist.
