Great Andover Antique Village

Review: on saturday 8/2/14 we stopped at this establishment to return a packing cushion we used to transport a previous purchase. We were carrying a car full of items from my Mother's home to donate to [redacted] down the street. The proprietor engaged us in conversation (we hadn't seen her in a while) and we explained that we were cleaning out my mother's house and enquired about her expertise in estate sales. One thing led to another and she asked us what we were transporting. Taking a look at the variety of materials she suggested we might do better to leave several items with her on consignment and we would yield more $ for my mother's charitable trust than otherwise. We left a wall clock and a brass serving set (mid east style: 4 large platters, stand, a tall brass Ewer,and ten brass cups and saucers). She said she was busy and would get back to us on recommended value. She never did I got cold feet on our way home and reconsidered the following day (Sunday) and called that evening. MY husband received a call the next day from the proprietor saying that she had sold the items for a total of $20 and our share was $10. Needless to say I'm quite upset since these trays have a value in the thousands of dollars. This escalated in terms of our communications with the proprietor becoming non-responsive. On Sunday the 10th I visited her shop to get my items back and in touring it I could not find the clock we left. I also took pictures of other brass items (priced $25-$85 singly) that she had on display. When she saw me...she aggressively pushed me out of her shop...offered to return my clock but since we did not have the original receipt she had written she refused to find the clock and return it. We called the state police and she finally agreed to return the clock and one of her staff fetched it. I know it wasn't on display and I find it non-credible that she displayed a 37 piece set of brass ware for $20 and did not display hte clock. I believe she still has it and is refusing to return itDesired Settlement: I would like the brass material back so that I can dispose of it on behalf of the charity I choose and for the value I think is fair.
